Garbage in, garbage out - make sure text is sharp and large enough for recognition.
**Make sure text is upright (horizontally aligned to the app)** Beware of camera rotation!
Handwritten text will not work.
Text on top of unclean background (images or borders/lines in excel sheet) will not work.
PDF source is not supported.
OCR for Gujarati, Persian and Punjabi is experimental and the result is very bad. You have been warned.

Pretty good for quick and easy OCR, but it's not very "smart". For example, in an English text, that unknown character next to an "m" is identified as a Japanese yen symbol, when it should be a regular "y". I know this app is not an AI, but I kinda wish it was.

Bravo excellent application. Simply change the shortcut icon. It is really bad on appearance. Use a white backround with blue or green book. It will be surely much better than the black backround and the red book. (Thanks for the reply. The icon you created is good but the colours look like an antique. Thus simply change the colours. If you decide to use the colours I suggested to you, icon will become modern).

It was an error when I tried to download other language than English. I've tried this on 2 devices by now. After the last update it's working again (on both of my devices). I will give 5 stars if you make the crop function to be able to cut trapezoidal (to be able to straighten the text). It's a very good app even so ;) Thank you!

This program is great for a quick snapshot and scan. I would rate higher if resolution was better. Sometimes you need to get really close to the document when you take a picture. Because the edges do not come out so well.. at times you can clearly read the picture horse can you want converted, but it comes out gibberish after OCR

Still has trouble scanning ids/hashes using computer font but like how you can scan images and correct any mistakes with the split view.
