About Barcode-Studio

Barcode Studio is the free barcode generation solution for mostly all known barcodes. Currently the app is able to encode data in over 40 barcode symbologies.
The app is free (ad supported). There is an in-app purchase to remove ads, but the app is fully functional without this IAP.

To enable quick access to often used barcodes, you can add a generated barcode to your list of favorites. A history list shows all the barcodes you have generated in the past. These two features can be unlocked with an in-app purchase.

Input of barcode data is also possible by scanning an already existing barcode. This feature is handy if you want to resue barcodes or save your bonus cards on your phone.

Encoding happens on the smartphone and not with the help of a webservice. Therefore, you can create barcodes without being connected to the Internet.

Barcodes can be saved to an SD card, sent as email or shared via available Share Actions.

Currently the following symbologies are supported:
Code 11, Code 2 of 5 (interleaved), IATA, Data Logic, Industrial, Code 39 (extended), EAN, GS1-128, Codabar, Code 32, Code 49, Code 93, Code 128, Deutshe Post Leitcode, Deutsche Post Identcode, Code 16K, DataBar (14, limited, extended),
Telepen (alpha/numeric), UPC A/B, PostNet, MSI Plessey, LOGMARS, Pharmacode One-Track/Two-Track, PDF417 (truncated), Maxicode, QR Code (standard and micro), Australian Post Codes, ISBN, Royal Mail, Data Matrix, NVE-18, Japanese Postal Code, Korea Post,
GS1 DataBar-14 (stacked, omnidirectional, expanded stacked), PLANET, PDF417 (standard and micro), USPS OneCode, Plessey Code, ITF-14, Dutch Post KIX Code, Aztec Code (standard and runes).
HIBC is supported in all symbologies where a HIBC specification is available.

by K####:

The only app that somewhat supports the Dutch KIX-code, but in the app it needs to be 11 characters long, in reality this constraint does not exist, and is hardly ever true. The length is the postalcode (6) and the house number (minimal 1)

Most versatile one I could find. However my version does not support maxicode - not even listed - as the description indicates it should. Also has limitations with USPS OneCode (cannot write 20-digit only). Cannot generate Korea post.

Q70%
by Q####:

Says it will read Maxicode, which is UPS' 2d barcodes. Didn't work but works for most others just fine.

Q70%

Very minimal adds, would pay money to shut them off, makes a nice big image to scan too.

Uses the Zint library to generate barcodes but can't use the same library to read them. Instead depends on the lazzes-faire standard "ZXing Barcode Reader" to read them. I get it, why reinvent the wheel, right? Problem is, ZXing's barcode reader doesn't read all the formats Barcode Studio can generate. Case in point, I'm curious about the Maxicode on UPS labels. Sorry, we can't read that! But, if you want to generate one...

No can use no can do. Salamabits is stink. Make me sick, no work. Why fool people why do what you do? No good slicky boy trick.

I want to make a vcard, or URI or geolocation type of QR code. This app does not do that. There are others that do. However, this app has other options I have not seen in other apps.
