Pixoff: Battery Saver

Very useful. A few small issues though. It seems it won't stay running when it gets killed by Android, or when I slide it off in the recent apps list. It may also crash with a unable to start service error. Also sometimes while changing the settings, it may cause the system to freeze and reboot.

I'm using it right now and till now the app looks great. just have one question though are there any long term affects I mean i wont damage my (non working) pixels right? because I don't want to damage my phone in any way.

I love the concept but for some reason it doesn't work on my phone anymore. When I initially downloaded it, it worked fine. After I donated to get premium effects, it stopped working. Hopefully the developer can help me fix this.

It's a very helpful app, but it keeps making my screen black randomly, very often might I add, and it's really getting on my nerves. It's like the black background option is above everything else on my phone. Also, the black background option is pretty broken. The "use at this percentage" is pointless because it doesn't listen to it and makes the background black anyways, and it won't revert to the old background after I turn off black background. If these problems were fixed, easily a 5 star rating and one of the best apps I have

Very misleading. This only works on AMOLED displays. Contrary to the app description, LCD displays do use backlights, and phones made by LG, HTC, and many other companies that don't use expensive AMOLED panels will consume the same amount of energy

I have yet to see the long term effects of this, but turning off half the pixels to save battery? Yes please! Edit: Saved a lot of battery using this, BUT... And it's a big one, the touchscreen had issues when the app was active. Such as, random other touches. Also found, at least the OS thinks the filter is still active even when I had turned it off through the notification, meaning I couldn't install other applications without force stopping this app. Much appreciated if you take any of this into consideration.

Okay it works well, but I'll be honest in order to win me over from Twilight and pay for this we need to be able to add apps which who a week running disable this apps overlay! This is required on 6.0+ otherwise apps such as ANZ Go Money simply don't work due to those banking apps having security feature which disables keyboard input while another app has an overlay so you can't login to your banking app while this is running. Twilight has a "do not run" option for this reason, I request this be added. I'll continue to run this for rest of the week and measure the drain however this feature is necessary thanks :)

EXTREMELY misleading app description. An app like this is only useful for AMOLED devices. It's of no use to phones with traditional LCD displays. The app description makes no mention of that fact; that's why it's so misleading, and why everyone should avoid this app.

Cool app, does a decent job. But I have a feature request. Please offer a checkbox option for white/bright text on the buttons in the notification. I use a dark theme, so I can't read the texts cause it's dark on dark. Thanks for your great work.

Was a little sceptical of the app claims at first, but it works exactly as it claims, has had a real beneficial effect on battery life.

Very good app. The only thing to say is that the theme is outdated.

Offen fails to function correctly (even running in the background with the notification on) unless I open the app, which sometimes works and other times bugs my device switching constantly between on and off modes.

Turning the App on reduces the touch response... The touchscreen lags... I have to tap 4-5 times...for a single touch

Great backgrounds and improved battery life I can even choose the patterns its not just a completely boring screen. It really turns off pixels

Doesn't cover the whole screen.. The top quarter of the screen doesn't turn darker/the filter doesn't take effect.

So far there are no bugs and the features are really legit for my kind of display panel. I only wished you would redesign the app to make it fit with the material design of today's android UI. Overally, im satisfied with the app. Well done.

It's a really creative solution to battery saving. I personally like the interface but I feel like the percentage save and consume should be adjusted slightly

Ripped off I bought premium via that in app purchase nag screen and it didn't unlock higher grid density I want my money back!!!

Having a phone with limited battery, this is a life saver. The customability is very nice and only gets better in the full version

This will only work on AMOLED displays or any ones with LEDs. Check first if your phone is LCD or AMOLED.

Just like a screen dimmer, except better! Just wish I could donate.. (I know how, and it's not your fault. Just that I can't)

So far, very good. I'll test to see if it will improve the battery life on my Galaxy S7

Good app would be nice to have a feature that automatically turns off the filter when certain apps are running (eg banking apps which do not allow screen overlays)

When i set to auto enable Pixoff at 30% battery, i still need night filter to be enabled at the time range i have set irrespective of battery%. Any way to fix this?

Too soon to notice a real difference, but the idea seems solid.

It was one of the best battery savers. It used a lot less battery and I think it was great!

Using it now and will input more of the application usage soon
