Windscribe VPN

The Windscripe Android App works great, but the battery usage needs optimized. 14 hours on battery with 38% battery life left. Windscribe has used up a massive 7% of that battery and I never once opened the app or turned it on. Please optimize the battery life and I'll update my rating to 5 stars. Edit: Developers responded within 24 hours and immediately began working on battery optimizations. Much better now! Thanks for being so fast and responsive to feedback! Updated to 5 stars as promised. :)

Paid user who's used the app from beta to now. VPN itself is great, but the app is very basic and the worst thing is it eats the battery extremely quickly. Just today, 14 hours on battery, 15% remaining, 42% of that 85% used up by Windscribe app. That basically means the app uses up half of my battery from full charge to no charge. Needs fixing asap. UPDATE: since the update on 22 November it seems the battery drain issues are resolved. Well done guys! It's still the app that uses the most battery on my phone though. Perhaps this is just expected from VPN apps. This will be a 5 star app with additional features from the desktop app, like kill switch.

Battery life (on long term) took slightly more hit than other VPN and bandwidth is getting slower over time. The data quota is generous though, so despite the slower than average speeds and the assuring "no logging" privacy policy, Windscribe is pretty good.

I have a free 50GB account, I use Windscribe on my PC and I just started using it on my mobile phone. Sometimes connection is slow but it's fine.

Please help to find fastest server to fix slow download speed. Give updates for blocking ad/trackers which consume battery and data

Thanks for releasing the Android app! I have two requests... 1) Please add dynamic IPs to the app, or at least the option. 2) Please add Open VPN connections for the iOS app. That way everyone's devices are secure. Thanks for hosting a great VPN! :)

Excellent VPN. I already use it on windows, and now i use it too on my smartphone. Good connection speeds, stable, and for me much better than tunnelbear since it has more Gb's of data.

Simple, effective and it works 100% unlike others such as Express VPN & Kaspersky VPN. Great Job Windscribe!!

After the update it's much better. Good speeds, easier on the battery and still a good privacy policy.

I have not been able to use the data given to me, it is still there staring at me, please someone should reply me quickly on what I should do I order to use the data given to me.

I try to use a promo code but each time I press for the promo code nothing happened and I can't enter the code.

The vpn is amazing, one of the best I've tried yet. The app itself is battery hungry and will make your phone run out of battery after few hours of use. I'm using it on a 1+ 3t which has a great battery about 2 days of use usually but I'm not able to use my phone for a day while windscribe is turned on. Since the app is new I think there is room for improvement especially on the batery consumption aspect but it does the job and that's the main purpose of this app.

I was waiting for this app for over a year now. Finally got it. Easy connect to VPN servers. Data speeds don't slow down noticably. Some websites, however, have caught on, and won't allow access if VPN is being used. I don't know how to get around that. I use Windscribe on iPhone and PC. Very user friendly on those devices as well.

I'm pro user. I have been waiting delay after delay for 1 year, there is still no widget and I cannot enable and disable connection from notification bar. My connection still drops a lot (from 300kBps to 50kBps) . I don't see the point of using VPN if it cannot even load web pages quickly. Such disappointment.

Why all the 5 star reviews? This app used 14 percent of my battery while my screen used only 1 percent more. That's a lot of juice for an app I installed and never opened or used! Perhaps it's stealing info in the background? Deleted!
