M2XDroid

The purpose of this app is to demonstrate AT&T's IoT capabilities. Depending on the availability of sensors on your Android device this app reads device sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, brightness and temperature and location information to update them constantly into the AT&T M2X IoT platform. In fact, you will be using your Android tablet or smartphone as a small IoT device.
You can register for free on AT&T M2X (https://m2x.att.com) to explore AT&T's IoT capabilties. Once you are registered you will be provided with an API key which you will need to enter into this app. Afterwards, the app automatically creates your Android device as IoT device on M2X as well as creates all necessary data streams for the sensors.
M2X ist just the starting point for your IoT demo. When your IoT data is stored in M2X your next step may be to familiarize yourself with AT&T Flow Designer (https://flow.att.io) in order to create examples of meaningful actions for your business, i.e. be informed by email or SMS when a sensor reaches a certain threshold.
