SPID24 to nowoczesny, interaktywny system wspomagający służby bezpieczeństwa publicznego w koordynacji i wzajemnym informowaniu o zdarzeniach. Głównym celem systemu jest wspieranie służb w ich codziennej współpracy w swoim terenie działania.
System dedykowany jest zarówno dla służb ratunkowych, straży pożarnej, WOPR, GOPR, jak i służb leśnych, straży miejskich czy Zarządzania Kryzysowego.
Dzięki SPID24 możliwe jest szybkie i precyzyjne przekazywanie informacji o zdarzeniach, które wymagają działań innych służb. Straż leśna może powiadomić PSP o pożarze lasu, GOPR może poprosić o pomoc PSP, a Straż Miejska wspólnie z PSP i OSP zorganizować poszukiwania osoby zganionej.
W trakcie wspólnej akcji następuje wymiana informacji o zdarzeniu, ale również o pozycji Sił i Środków zaangażowanych w zdarzenie.
