When you are not connected to a WiFi access point Smart Switch lets you know to which Data Network, if any, you are connected to.
There is no setup necessary, it just works.
It's also perfect for people who have more than one WiFi access point, either at home or at the office and automatically connects to the access point with the stronger signal.
It uses android's built in WiFi configuration so once you have already connected to a WiFi access point it can be used for automatic Smart Switching.
SmartSwitch can be used with Minimalistic Text: Widgets by Devmil
Select a Local Variable from the MISC tab and use %ConnectionInfo and %IPInfo once SmartSwitch has started
Switching WiFi access points will occur under the following conditions:
1. Both access points are already in the device's AP list
2. The signal difference between the two access-points is greater that 10
3. The time between the last switch is at least 2 minutes.
4. A phone call is not in progress
Android 4.3 or greater is required with the "always allow scanning" option selected for access point switching to function correctly
Full network access permission is needed to access and change the state of the various networks.
Absolutely no personal information is gathered or transmitted in anyway.
