Like many customers I see in the reviews, with the most recent update my previous version application was made useless with the update. I was told I would need to pay again when I'd already paid $49.99 previous for the application. I understandably, and like many of you, got extremely angry about this as I felt I'd been ripped off for $49.99. I E-Mailed support, expressing much distaste and frustration with this. Nevertheless, they worked to make it right - I now have a full version paid application again.
I purchased a older version and was forced to upgrade to this one, it doesn't work now because with this upgrade it's now just a trial.
Pls can you get it to work on S6 edge? Because it's the best remote app i've used
I'd give it 5 stars if it was working with the DSTV explora, can you guys please fix this
I paid for version 4 now I've had to update to V5 and now it doesn't work my samsung tv models are not there anymore whats going on
Each version gets a little better but it still takes a lot of trail and error to prevent truncated channel commands. A small irritation but I prefer to blame Comcast.
I had high hopes that this app. might be able to control my old Onkyo receiver. Despite the fact that virtually any cheap universal remote can get it done, including my uVerse remote and an old Palm Pilot, I've yet to find an Android app. that can handle my 20 year old Onkyo. If you have 21st century hardware, maybe this works for you. But then you probably don't need an antiquated IR remote because you have wifi capable devices.
I have a note pro also and it works great but for some reason when I have it setup exactly the same on my note edge it doesn't work. I hope this gets looked into. I spent 39 dollars on this app and now its free?
Found an app that works with my Panasonic TV. Well done!
Opening app gets the response this device does not have an IR blaster. Which it clearly does.
Seems to have been broken by 5.0 upgrade on Note 3. Was fixed by picking alternate driver. Not sure why there are two driver regimen to confuse things....but working again now.
This really is a great deal. It's not flashy, and tough to customize in that regard. But even a $200 Logitech doesn't give you this kind of root control for MACROS, custom functions, etc. There are dedicated activity driven remotes and touchscreens, but @10x & 60x the cost JUST FOR THE HARDWARE. $300-1000 for the programming which happens once. Change a component & add another fee. There may be some hassles with the upgrade & license, but FOLLOW DIRECTIONS/contact support and everything is sorted quickly.
Stupid app doesnt know i have an ir blaster
I use to use this on my old Galaxy S4 with great results. Since changing to a GS6 edge I have yet to be able to get it to work at all.
They used to be good, now they don't respond to support emails. The app doesn't have much a/c models. Scanning and testing codes is complicated, and time consuming.
I bought the old version and I cant use it anymore and when I open it refers me to the new version which force closes
Not working on galaxy tab s. Wasting time. Immediately uninstall
I do not think it works on a LG G Pad 8.3 VK810 Sure my pad has a IR blaster. I read where LG provided the SDK to your company to make a compatible app. Why would I pay $120 for a Global Cache iTech and then pay for your app when I can get the same thing from Logitech for under $100?
Installed on my Samsung Galaxy S6. It said "No IR blaster found" How can a new app not work with the newest phone?
but after the 5.1 OS update it now says there is not an internal blaster? We NEED this fixed asap!
It's for Phones only! Tried to use it on my LG G Pad 7.0 vk410
Says my lg g4 doesn't have an ir blaster. It does... So, uh...1 star
Very poor app
After lollipop upgrade on Samsung galaxy S4 my touchsquid remote won't work. Used to be great. I'll update rating when it works. Just noticed also that my "pro" version is gone! What happened?
This was great software, so I bought the paid version... Then they did an "upgrade" and want MORE money. Bullish*t!
doesnt work on my lg g2. im trying to control my samsung ht-Q80 home theater system and it does nothing
Was great now I have to buy again... WTH
Them I updated and now it sucks
Works perfectly for me and provides all the customization options I could ask for. This product is very mature and allows unlimited opportunities for tailoring both actions and screen layouts. It also integrates very well with the MPC Remote application. It is very important to have reliable transmission of all IR signals to your devices. I use the Global Cache IP2IR device, and I never have a failure.
S5. Update reinstalled later an then used developers comment below. Back to working and it updated with full version.
Excellent app and support is superb. Could do with a few more icons like Netflix maybe.
Worked on previous version. Now on lollipop (GS5) it is broken. To top it off I'm now being prompted to buy again. Please do not put the burden on the user for your poor licensing.
Paid 49.99 for the original app now I can only use trial my license would not transfer. Useless now no help from Dev. Used to love it but can't use anymore
I've used this app for a a few years and have had no problems, now with the upgrade to GR I have problems: 1 st it pops up with a message that says java error do you want to continue.... If you say yes many of the buttons don't work including the menu "Ok" and "Cancel" . 2nd I have a lot of macros programmed, they work but I need to buy the pro version to edit them, why make me buy the pro version to edit functions I already had? I really like the app though and hope it's fixed soon.
So the $30 one I bought is now obsolete and I can only use this free trial? What absolute BS. Dont waste your money.
Not sure I can say enough good about this App. Replacing my Harmony Remote that is on it's way out using a Samsung Tablet. App is easy to setup, plenty of baseline codes already in place. If you need one added, Touchsquid's support is awesome! I was having trouble setting up my Media Center PC. Dropped them a line on thier forum, they directed me on customizing the buttons, and let me know you can launch another App within the TS interface through customized buttons. Got me most of the way to where I wanted to be. Explained that the IR reciever I had wasn't working with the codes already in the TS interface and in less than 24 hours they had my device added and ready to go! The "widget" is also great. Like having multiple device remotes on hand, in case you missed a command, or something was left on ,etc... I added a "Global Cache" network to IR repeater to my setup, as my equipment is now all in a closet. It was easy to configure in Touch Squid, and everything works flawlessly. You do have to make cetrain you specify the correct IR port during setup, if you are using more than one port. Default is the number "3" port.
Great support when ever you need it but one thing I would love is somehow an integrated epg to work with the remotes
Since the latest update I get nothing but Null Pointer exceptions. I've cleared data and cache, uninstalled and reinstalled, still the same problem. HTC One M8
So far it is working well on my Samsung Galaxy S5. I would like to find more channel icons for my favorite channels.
