Raspberry SSH is an Android application designed to control your Raspberry Pi via SSH. Anything you can do via SSH you should be able to automate using this app. You should also be able to use it to control other SSH enabled devices.

If you can't work something out email me. I can probably help.

Features include...

1. Customisable buttons. Dynamically add and remove buttons. Change the text on the buttons. Assign different commands.

2. ICMP (Ping) Monitoring for up to four devices. Quickly check to see if you are connected to your Raspberry Pi and that it's turned on. (Green = on, red = off and Yellow = Error).

3. Backup your configuration and restore them to another device.

4. Turn on debug mode to see the output from your Raspberry Pi. This can be invaluable when you are troubleshooting commands.

5. Supports multiple Raspberry Pi devices or you can use "override" mode to configure all buttons to talk to one Raspberry Pi (see app settings).

6. Strict Host Key checking. Add host keys to add additional security to your SSH connections.

7. Supports SSH keys.

8. Display the output from your command and dismiss the output when you are ready. Turn this on and off on a per button basis.

9. Clone Buttons.

10. Change the order of buttons.

Update: Also now with widgets!

NB: Current limit is 200 buttons but you can use multiple saved profiles!

There is also a free version you can try before you buy! Search for Raspberry SSH Lite in the Play Store.

This is great app, best to run linux command from app. I only wish: 1. use whole screen for output of the command in landscape mode 2. add folder to store similar commands.EDIT: new version, nothing changed :(

This app is just what I needed to send commands to my multiple Raspberry Pi's. I love the widget addition! Just waiting on different button color options now :p Great app!!

It lacks one important thing for me, a log file viewer. It doesn't need to be anything fancy. I tried cat, but it's horribly slow. If it had this capability it would be a definite 5, and would be a much better admin tool for it. Still worth well the money though. [Afterthought: A "Status" widget would be nice. Just a blob reflecting the colours of the status bar in the app. User-defined notifications, allowing the user to set the notification text would be superb (writes the man with two stroppy teenage sons - "Da-ad. There's something wrong with the Internet...")] Oh, minor point - the arrows on the buttons that move the panel entries around seem to work the wrong way around. Unless an arrow pointing down really does signify up-ness, but let's not get quantum mechanical about it. They both work.

App works and developer supports the app on a case by case basis if needed. Thank you

I have a raspberry pi that controls stepper motors to turn my blinds and this was the perfect app to use to send commands to the pi. Developer also replies properly to email questions.

Incredibly useful app with a great UI for what it needs to do.

Currently using this app to update git repo to push code changes to my pi. Also keeping a webserver on my pi, so this lets me update the webpages to whatever I have stashed on bitbucket. I'd love to be able to store commands per device and have a better idea of security concerns I should have when using this app. I'm still a novice at linux but I think this app already has me thinking of shell scripts to run. Finally it would be nice to have the ability to kill a process you start, for instance, startx.

Incredibly useful app with a great UI for what it needs to do. Only downside is that the setting to reuse the same IP address for each button doesn't work, but that's only a minor irritation. EDIT: This is fixed in the latest release :)

I really like this one. I only wished that the output of the command would show as they are running instead of just poping up when they are done. It is difficult to know if the command is actually running with no feedback.

by Z####:

Thanks dev for keeping this app simple and straight forward. It's much easier to hit a button to run my scripts than it is to SSH in each and every time.

Paid version can not authenticate. Lite worked fine.

This program is simple enough but made a world of difference to be able to hit buttons to run update scripts or toggle services on my pi. Super helpful! And no weird permissions or terminal calls! Thanks!
