Is there something wrong with my phone, or is it this app? I cant get the app to work when I am on wifi, but it works only on 3G, which is inconvenient. Other drawbacks are the user interface and fluidity of the app.

T70%
by T####:

Server conn issues, also sometimes you cant add torrents. Doesnt work with magnets. Other than that, does its job and helps me save battery by not having to download directly on my note 10.1.

S70%
by S####:

Easy to set up, seems simple to use, *-》 Am I able to search for torrents from my phone and add them to the list on my lap top? That is all I actually want from this app, can anyone let me know if this is possible please

Q70%
by Q####:

Great app. I just sit at home, think of what I want to listen to in work the next day, get it downloading and it's there waiting for me in the morning when I arrive. All these people giving it a bad rating because they have no use for it!! You wouldn't buy something from a shop you didn't want or need and then complain about it. I don't need a barbie doll, so I don't get one.

Q70%
by Q####:

If you normally download or seed torrents and use your computer as a server when doing so, this is a great app. All I have to do is set up my torrents and leave my computer alone to do its thing. The only thing this app is missing is a 'finish' notification and a 'connection lost' notification for the torrents.

Q70%
by Q####:

I think most of the people saying it is useless, dont understand how to use it. It is not just for checking speeds and monitoring. If I'm at work and on break, sometimes I find a show or movie I want to watch. With this app I can add the torrent to my client at home and it's all downloaded when I get home. Obviously they aren't going to put every option that the client itself has. It's just a remote connection. What more do u need?????? And BTW, utorrent is a division of Bittorrent!

Q70%
by Q####:

Good for changing global download/upload speeds and starting/stopping downloads when you need to and you're not at your computer. That's about it. And I'm not really even sure when that would ever come up. No useful seeding information is visible.

Used to work fine. Was a great app. But recently Note 3 4.4.2 not been able to open the app. It keeps crashing every time I try. Worked fine on the old Android. Emailed developer number of times but no reply

by A####:

Got some issues but otherwise wery useful app. I have problems with staying loged in, also when I add new torrent I must log out than re-log in to see changes. There are so much good sides there's not enaugh room to writhe them all :)

W70%
by W####:

its buggy and glichy and some function are missing but gets the job done i used to use it until i update it to 4.4.4 every time i open it i get fc since the update so please support kitkat fast

I70%
by I####:

Always force closes and refuses to log in multiple times before logging in. HTC One, update... Log in works but it now tells me decryption error! I'm done with BitTorrent apps, I'll find one from another developer and since you developed uTorrent stuff it won't be one of those either.. it gives me the same error.

Q70%
by Q####:

It's alright for what it is. But the ability to add labels would be really nice. Also the UI is not pleasant. Additionally, adding torrents simply doesn't work have the time

Q70%
by Q####:

Great for checking the progress of a download, changing download speeds and starting/pausing downloads, however lacks much of the control the desktop program brings. There are several bugs too: whenever I reopen the app it says that I've been disconnected, when I've checked to re-login on start. Also when I pause a download, instead of saying paused it says 'unknown'. Mediocre remote, but fix these issues and 5 stars.

U70%
by U####:

I can get the remote to only work once in a blue moon. Keeps giving me an error saying the server timed out. Would be an awesome app if this didn't happen.

Q70%
by Q####:

whats all the fuss people? i think its absolutely genius. instead of waiting until i get home to download a film, music, a game or whatever i can download it immediately from my phone to my laptop at home. whats bad about that? now i know that people can sometimes be negative for the sake of it. bittorent i take my hat off to you. im one of your biggest fans. keep up the great work. im sure im not the only admirer. the sceptics are in the minority and im more than sure about that. this is the future of things to come.

T70%
by T####:

This is probably an issue with the client, not the remote but will note it here. uTorrent had the same issue before its latest update.

Q70%
by Q####:

Firstly, fix the login issue, it fails to load torrents and asks to log out and log in again. Secondly, fix the remaining field. Due to hashfalls, it goes into negative. Thirdly, add a few features like controlling priority of downloads, controlling the number of active downloads and provide some more seeding information.

P70%
by P####:

Keeps saying decryption error please logout and retry. Tried logging out and signing back multiple times. Not working. Do i have to fiddle with my firewall settings on pc. Bittorrent itself works fine on pc.

Q70%
by Q####:

When I first started using app it was hit and miss with getting downloads started. Recently it has started working much better since I have started using the magnet links for torrents with it. I don't know if Bittorrent has made recent changes on their server or the magnet links being used is responsible for improved performance. I use my stock android browser on my tablet to find torrents as always and its nice that when I click on a magnet link from a website the Bittorrent Remote app opens to immediately start the torrent on my htpc that has bittorrent running. Its also nice to be able to multitask using my htpc watching movies on its vlc player and not interrupt vlc from playing movie to manage bittorrent while it is running on the same PC. Goes good with VLC Remote by Hobbyist. I can actually be watching a video on htpc, have someone mention another video that I hadn't seen, find and download it, then place it in que to play next w/o ever interrupting currently playing vlc content all from android tablet. BTW, I never get the server not responding issue so I am inclined to think these people don't understand this app, how to set it up, and how to use it.

C70%
by C####:

The app is supposed to allow you to remotely access your torrent downloads (PC) on your cell. (For starting, stopping, pausing and removing torrent files.) This is not to remotely view your downloaded torrent files. Anyways, this and utorrent are the same remote. Both have same set up and must be made by same people. This app will not go any further than logging in. Says error: problem decrypting or something like that. I've tried this and utorrent. Both have same error, needs fixing immediately.

Q70%
by Q####:

This was once a fairly useful app. Now I am faced with a toast stating "Unfortunately, BitTorrent Remote has stopped" without any apparent reason as to why it has stopped. I've attempted clearing the cache, wiping the app data, and doing a full reinstall without any positive results. This issue has been ongoing for at least 6 months on a Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which has gone through two Android versions in this time frame. I'd officially declare this app broken until I receive a developer response or a fix via app update.

Q70%
by Q####:

Crashes on Android 4.4.2...probably because the splash page looks like something that came out of Android 1.6

O70%
by O####:

It works great however I can't transfer files over mobile data. It gives me an error saying I have to turn transfer over cellular data on but I can't find the setting option. Other than that works just as it should.

Q70%
by Q####:

This isnt a ripoff of uTorrent remote, they are made by the same people (BitTorrent inc) and infact BitTorrent is the name of the protocol and the client that all torrent clients use/are based on.

R70%
by R####:

I have no issues, always works. I see a lot of complaints, I'm thinking user error!

Q70%
by Q####:

Issues: Evertime I Exit the app, it makes me login back again Even though I selected to keep logging in. Always shows the msgs failure to stop the torrent.... fix it and I'll give it 5 stars

Q70%
by Q####:

The UI is just unattractive, Otherwise good app. Request: - Please Can u change the UI to Bittorrent Downloader Android App it would be just awesome O

Q70%

Is there something wrong with my phone, or is it this app? I cant get the app to work when I am on wifi, but it works only on 3G, which is inconvenient. Other drawbacks are the user interface and fluidity of the app.

Q70%

Missing label functionality. You can view labels but you can't apply or change labels when adding torrents. Cripples the app.

Q70%

GREAT REMOTE TORRENT APP! works perfect for adding torrents to my PC straight from my mobile browser via magnet link! COULD NOT ASK FOR MORE :) 5 STAR

N70%
by N####:

Loving the app, but can you please add a way to add trackers for each download, and to be able to set the max upload speed for each individual download. Dont know if it can do it already, but I havent found it.

Y70%
by Y####:

For some reason stopped working. Now i can not connect and if connected it does not show the data. This was the best app ever, now is the worst one.

E70%
by E####:

Please fix! The decryption error was fixed and it worked good for about a week, now i get a server not respnding error. This would be great app if it worked more than 20% of the time....

Q70%
by Q####:

Works brilliant. For all those who get errors. Use magnet link to download. I was getting errors until I started using magnet link.

Q70%
by Q####:

When it works, it's great. However, in the years of history that I have owned this app, it has worked less than 5% of this time. That's the most o can say about it. To be even more clear the only thing I use this app for is remotely adding torrents to the queue on my computer using my phone.

Q70%
by Q####:

Its identical to utorrent and utorrent remote! Isnt this just a ripoff. One is green one is purple. I can use this to access utorrent software on pc and utorrent app to access this on the pc. Why.

T70%
by T####:

A must have for all torrent nuts out there, small issue of not being able to see the icons on xperia ray, which hopefully be fixed on the next update, other than that does everything it says, install now ;-)

Q70%
by Q####:

Great for torrenting while watching Tv! Or while popping. Only problem, is I have to logout, and back on every so often. Works well with the. Pirate Bay browser app!

M70%
by M####:

Convenient app! Fails to sign in sometimes. Worth installing.

O70%
by O####:

Sick app for status of torrents already active, and for pausing/continuing etc, but definitely needs the option to start torrents on your home client. I'm assuming that's a pain in the backside, or it'd probably already be done, but it'd be handy all the same..
