Could be clearer about source material (eg. On play store) is Tae Kim. PS, the rate now button is broken, doesn't link to the correct play store page. Feature request, search by romaji for convenience. Eg. noni instead of only のに

It's pretty Helpful for me

X70%

A very well done and detailed app for learning Japanese, unlike some other apps out there in the market which give you a mess of grammar rules and vocabularies, and you have no clue where to start with. Not sure if it also fits to intermediate or advance learners, but as a beginner myself, I give 5 stars to this app.

X70%
by X####:

This is an exact plagiarism of Tae Kim's guide . Did someone really spend time doing this? Thats horrible. Everything is a word for word stolen copy of someone elses work

If you want the real thing look up tae kimsguide to japanese...

J70%

An in-depth guide to understanding the language and is direct and straight-foward; it is well- tailored for beginners as well as more advanced speakers. The interface is simple and clear and provides grammatical equivalents between English and Japanese languages. It also very strong in conjunction with basic learning apps such as Mondly. A detailed phoenetic chart is included for both Katakana and Hiragana. Strongly would recommend to anyone who is serious about becoming fluent in the language.

I really love this app. This is my go to app for Japanese grammar etc so I can memorize it correctly. It is extremely helpful although, I would like it even better if the exercises I could use from my phone. But other than that, this app is definitely helping me speed up my learning and retain it.

Very nicely brings together the core of Japanese grammar. One stop shop reference for grammar, and it's offline too.

It's Tae Kim. You use someone's work without mentioning that person

K70%
by K####:

Like: lessons are straight forward, many examples, free Dislike: exercises are not made for mobile devices (list has to be printed somehow and hand written in), have to scroll all the way up to see what a kanji means.

X70%
by X####:

but why most of the words are written in Kanji? It's quite hard for beginners to understand kanji.

K70%

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this app. However it is exactly the same as "Tae Kim's guide to learning Japanese" posted on the appstore by Ignatius Reza to the letter. Both are outstanding and definitely a must have, but I like the layout and extra features of "Tae Kim's guide to learning Japanese" more so I think I'll stick with that one.

Just took a quick screen of the app, looks and feels well organised as compared to most guidebooks on the topic, and has simple to more complex grammer components included, making it suitable for beginners and advanced learners alike. One thing i didnt like was the PDF feel of the app, i feel it could have been built more like an actual app rather then like a ebook on the subject, with quizzes and interactive parts built into each of the section to facilitate learning.

U70%

If you could introduce a search bar to show and define the use of a specific word or tense. ie. Type in あれば and have it show a list of all lessons that contain that word in it. Do this and I'd rate this 5 stars.

K70%
by K####:

All the explanation has given but for basic grammar lots of kanjis been used. For starters there should be less kanjis.

I've been falling behind in my Japanese class because I couldn't grasp why I was doing what I was doing. This app does a great job of explaining the reasoning behind the parts of grammar and the situations to use them in. Recommended it to everyone in my class.

Too much kanji, a bit difficult for newbie. And sometimes it crashes after I switched app.. But overall, very nice and educating

Search for Tae Kim's Guide to Learning Japanese if you prefer web browser, or Learning Japanese by Ignatius Reza if you prefer using app, both of these have videos tutorial too. This horrible app basically copied the contents from the website and put it in ugly interface with ads showing at bottom.

This app is a blatant copy of Tae Kim's Learning Japanese. With ads, of course.

I wanted to have another grammar source to compliment Tae Kim. However, when I jumped to the particles section I noticed that Kim's lessons were copied word for word. I recommend searching for and downloading the original Tae Kim grammar app, which is also free.
