Calm - Meditate, Sleep, Relax for Android
I love this app and use the 3 minute guided meditations all the time. The ability to customise the main page and the background noise. But recently, I haven't been able to get the animation or the sound at all on the home page or anywhere else(though the meditations work fine). Its a little thing, but it makes a great impact on my experience.
Just plain love it. It has a variety of meditation to suit your needs that day. I like the fact that it has non guided meditation. You choose the setting, the duration, with or without bell... I like the breathing option too. Especially if you need to calm down before an event, there's nothing like a quick breathing exercises to soothe you nerves.
This app has helped me calm my anxiety considerably. The app is really good at encouraging you to take a few minutes out of each day for mindfulness, and the app really works. All I can say is that I wish there were more programs available that went longer than the typical seven day programs that Calm provides.
I have experienced terrible anxiety, panic attacks and racing thoughts for most of my adult life. I've been on soo many meds that I've honestly lost count. Two weeks into using "Calm" I see hope, I see the possibility of a much better life, I would urge anyone to try it...very well done for beginners. Can't express how thankful I am for the peace.
It introduced me to the lovely world where you feel piece. It teaches me to be with myself. I haven't bought the subscription, yet the initial 7 days program is helping me practice being in present. Also, the other free short programs on compassion, kindness, forgiving, letting go are wonderful. I highly recommend this program to get you initiated to being present , being yourself and being calm.
Would have 5 stars if it had just a bit more guided sessions free. I love it and it helps me sleep and relax. I'm an anxiety wreck sometimes. I go between a few different apps, and this one is the best. But still I would like more content.
Love it and use it every morning! Especially love the forgiveness and loving kindness meditations. I wish there were more free options but don't mind repeating the ones currently available. One minor criticism: when the open ended timer goes, the background noise drops for a moment which is a bit distracting.
I use this app often and pay for the yearly subscription. I've meditated for over 10 years, but sometimes find guided meditation a pleasant change. I've recommended it extensively to new mediators who love it. Aside- Calm, PLEASE reconsider your 'inspirational' memes. I've found myself aggravated, not calmed by them and heard others complain about them. I read "I wish could be thin..." this morning and almost screamed. At least three of your quotes have triggered me, not calmed me. People come to this app mid panic attack. Keep that in mind.
Love it! ❤❤❤ it helps me manage my stress and helps me sleep! I've had this app for about a year, and I have rarely ever had a problem with any glitches with the program, if I ever did, it was because of my phone itself.
This is an incredibly relaxing app. I suffer from Multiple Autoimmune Disorder and am in chronic pain. I also have tinnitus in both ears 24/7. This app helps me get very comfortable and relaxed when I'm having a flare. The soothing voices allow me to turn my focus away from the pain. I would highly recommend this app to anyone but especially someone who deals with chronic pain.
Once I got accustomed to the breathing techniques I noticed that my anxiety levels decreased. It's worth persevering for a calmer approach to life. The Daily Calm sessions are my favourites and I also find the Emergency Calm very helpful.
So simple to use. After years of fumbling with trying to "figure out" meditation, this app has helped me chill out and provides a space to do that in. The different options for sounds are great. At my youngest child's naptime, I turn on a sound, close my eyes and sit. She falls asleep within minutes. A favorite app.
Brilliant really easy to follow. I enjoy doing the session's. Found the first few times i did it more difficult to relax. But over time it's getting easier. It's made me more aware of my thoughts and how to have more focus in the here and now.
Internet connection should NOT be required to participate in the modules. Absorbing unnecessary emfs while trying to meditate counteracts the whole point in relaxing. Internet should merely be required to download modules etc to phone before being turned off. Was disappointed when after 17 minutes of a story the last 3 was just silence from mid sentence due to no Internet connection, with no option to rewind and no notice that data needed to be on. But I did enjoy both mens soothing voices that I heard.
I love this app so far! I've used meditation for years for pain management. I've recently had some trouble meditating on my own - so I'm using this app to get my meditating groove back. So far it's working out perfectly.
There are alot of apps out there but i can PROMISE you this app will take your breath and you away. I highly recommend it. I have PTSD and this is my therapy! This is a MUST download.
The Calm app is brilliant, the timed sessions are really helpful and I love how your profile keeps track of all the progress you've made! And there are loads of extra things im looking forward to trying out too! I would definitely advise others to get this app if you want to start meditation.

love it! I would give 5 stars but everything could always have improvements from time to time. I find it starting to get boring with the same deep concentration and focus exercise (you can only focus on your nostrils so many times). Can love it! Also, when the guided meditation is complete, can the background music play for an additional 15 or 20 seconds? Once background music stops abruptly, I feel, and rather uncomfortably, snapped back to reality. Lastly, can we get a guided mediation for early morning? A mediation for when you wake up and your head is full of cobwebs and really hard to get into a mindful state? Again, great app. If I could give a 4.9, I would. thank you for making this app and reading this review.
Great app. Helps my 11 year old go to sleep. I do wish there was a nature sounds only selection to play without voices tho but the meditations and sleep stories are great.
This app has improved over time including a different guided daily meditation everyday, to adding bedtime stories and assisted deep breathing exercises. I have had this app for 3+ years and it gets better with time. I also love that you can track how many days a month you meditate .

I'm finding that this meditation app really aids in calming my stress and the bedtime stories over a period of regular use have helped me to have a restful nights sleep without the tossing and turning... One of the best apps I have on my phone, love it
Place this app at the center of your home screen. Get into a daily ritual of practicing mindfulness. Practice makes perfect. This has really helped with mental looping and stress.

Edit. No longer seem to be having the problem I mentioned before! 5 star! "Love it but I am constantly having to uninstall and re in stall it because the volume settings seems to change and the background noises become basically unheard or too quiet. Reinstalling seems to fix this."
It had numerous locked features, making it boring after a while. It would not let you fast forward sessions to speed up the process as needed.
It's definitely helping me remain calm, and there's so much content and helpful things, plus different sounds you can use for the background to help you focus into that calm center.
They're constantly adding new series, such as sleep stories, and calm kids. Highly recommend this app whether you're just getting started with meditation or just want to change things up. There's also the option to do unguided meditation with just bells and the nature scenes/ambient music, as well as calm breathing exercise.
I have the full app and I love it all. Sometimes it is hard to make time but the streak counter keeps me motivated. And I love the variety and the quality is always consistent.

So amazing! Nothing has ever helped my anxiety quite like mindfulness and meditation. My only complaint is that I, as a student, can't afford the subscription to access any of the anxiety sessions.
I honestly love this app. So much that I paid for the full version yearly which I never do with apps. It has been worth it though and works so well to help me with severe insomnia.
EVERYTIME I use listen to the Daily Calm now I get a request at the end if the session for a review of the session. This is too much! Please stop it.
It's great except for the bell at the end of a timed session. It's too jarring. Something less sudden would make a better reminder.
Found the voice a bit fast at first compared to other similar apps, but got used to it quickly. The content is great and I enjoy nature noises in the background.

I have anxiety. This app has really helped me be more mindful.
There was a minor hiccup with an update recently but I've been using the app for years and it keeps getting better. I use the deep sleep meditations a lot but I'm also loving the daily calm sessions. I definitely notice when I haven't meditated recently enough and I'm not being productive. I get a mental clarity, like my brain gunk is being washed from the inside when meditating.
