DubScript Screenplay Writer

this is the only software i find right to write scripts on my tab. BUT, and thats a big BUT, one two problems- 1) IT HAS ADVERTISMENT (damn annoying, start a paid version man where i dont have to see any advertisment, god! every time, i have to scroll it down, because of that) 2) YOU CANT CONVERT YOUR DOCUMENT TO PDF so frustrating, you have given the option to convert it into final draft but what if i want to send a script right away from my android device only. Not everyone have final draft on their every gadget. so, please bring us a new update with these things sorted. otherwise all good man...a BIG round of applause to the developers.

Light, useful and full of subtle options. If you are looking for an app to write a screenplay on a tab/ smartphone this is it. Especially for those whose format knowledge is not upto the mark. I am a writer and know my craft but still use this over Celtx when on my Lenovo Tab. Well done DS!

I didn't like at first as I couldn't even start a screenplay. However the developer was nice enough to respond and explain - I managed to get in to it and wrote some lines. It's okay but i found it too fidley to start with. Hence the three stars - I think rather than have the demo screenplay there it would be better just to have an option to start on black page.

There was no option to open files direct from Dropbox within the app, the only choice was google drive or local storage. When I opened my fdx file from within Dropbox the app would freeze after scrolling through one or two pages. I was hoping to use this to read final draft files on my phone but it is instead unusable to me.

I copied and paste my work on its interface (it took a long while at pure guess work) as it said it can format Word but when I did, the scene headings were formatted correctly yet leaving the character and the dialogue behind. I tried looking for additional formatting rules in the menu there wasn't any. I had to uninstall the app.

Won't let me even start to type, keeps giving error message to turn on documents in settings, was redirected online to a forum which was of zero help and no support available. Don't recommend. I'm not creating an account just to solve a problem I'm not creating. And it does come with that error, i have a screenshot but can't post it here. Sounds like Irma hutchons is having the same problem

Best muthafuckin' app! Apologies for cursing, couldn't help it. Great job guys. Soon as I can afford it, getting that upgrade, you beyond deserve the $$. Love love love it!

Sounds good but wouldn't let me start a script. What am I missing? Am I not able to type it into the app?

I would've given 5 stars as I've used and enjoyed this app for more than a year, but I tried to start a new script today and after I slid to WRITE, it asked me to save a new script on my Internal memory (refused to save on SD card), and after saving, it wouldn't show my keyboard for me to type .

Has a big banner ad that, combined with other space-wasting elements, cuts the text area down to about an inch while editing. Removal of the ad is subscription-based, about $1 a month.

This app isn't allowing me to write pass 11 pages. I am thinking that I needed to purchase it in order to continue, but nope. I purchase and same result. Don't know if this is a bug but I want a refund.

i can't start a screenplay? It says i have to turn on my documents in setting > installed app first, i have no idea, my phone is xiaomi 3 pro, help please!

Love this app, but is the function to save as a .fdx file still available? I can't seem to make it happen anymore.

It's really easy to use. Especially if you're a beginner. Just write. And it does the formatting. Plus, I'll be honest, you may want to learn the language of screen writing. Because this is truly for the beginner. And you don't have to go far to learn. There's a tutorial right there, in the program. Just a great app.

The good; very smooth writing with it, great support for printing and Unicode. Wish I could use it on a bigger screen.

We can't save our file in pdf or docx format. It have only some unknown format. Moreover we can't share it through whatsaap.

Saved content doesn't open it shows invalid format. I used all formats but still it was not opening...??

If your planning on using this app to hold thought for a script forget it !!! Pist poor ! First when you save you writings then reopen youll find tons of errors?! Next while attempting to get your thoughts down you are plagued by ads. I guess that this sapp designers way of getting you to BUY the other app! You better off with a pen and paper !

You have to manually type in setting, character names and actions. It's so tedious, something you can easily do in Word or any text editor.

I love the way it puts my text in the proper margins... I write the story in my notepad app, copy and paste to DubScript and viola, a professional style script... and it also gives me the option to save the script in adobe reader...love it... it saves me alot of work

I've having issues converting the file into a PDF format and I need to send the file to a client as soon as possible. Even when I tried converting with PDF converter it's saying the file type is not supported. Please help out and this is urgent

I have been working hard on my script and it just vanished! Its just gone from my tablet!

Is there some way you can go into the app and find my screenplay or something? Your app erase it all..

Great functionality and doesn't lag

I was making a script for months and and update i think deleted the whole script and i tried everything possible and i cant find it

It has form and it has a look.

Works okay and is handy for quick thoughts. However, ad banners started floating across my tiny android screen interfering with my typing. The ads disappear in reading mode but are really annoying while trying to write. It costs 0.99 a month or $10 a year to remove rather than an outright purchase. Looking for something else. Consequently I downgraded my rating to three from four.

Now the bugs have been fixed, it's great. Faster to write with plain text and not having to choose elements every time, and since it doesn't format on the fly, it doesn't lag up on long scripts like the Celtx app. Plus I can save my script in several formats. This app really has increased my productivity and makes writing on my phone almost as easy as writing at the PC. Good job.

I looked at a couple of other apps, but they were all obviously for experienced script writers and to confusing for a newbie like me. This one is perfect for me. All the formatting gets done and I don't need to know how to do it! Very clean, very simple, lots of good information. By far the best of all that I tried. Thank you, developers!!

This is a really great app and though it lagged since the first time I used it, it did what it was meant to do. Now it won't even let me type just as if I had reached a character limit, which I am pretty sure is not the case. I guess I'll wait until there's an update that fixes it to keep using it.

I was so in love with this app when I made a test script and saw how well it worked, but then I went to make a new screenplay and realized that I couldn't. Why can you only write one screenplay at a time? Horrible feature! Uninstalling :( My purpose for this app is gone if I can't write multiple screenplays at once.
