The info in this app assumes that the user is suffering from panic attacks due to Panic Disorder. It may not be applicable to other forms of anxiety. It focuses on the fear of having a panic attack and the fear of the sensations when having a panic.

Use Panic Assistance audio to coach you when you experience a panic attack and to help you learn to tolerate and control the anxiety symptoms. Also, can be used to assist with exposure therapy for Agoraphobia.

The Panic Assistance audio is not a relaxation or hypnosis audio. It is meant to be firm so as to get your attention while having a panic attack. Relaxation or hypnosis audios are not very useful during a panic. They may be useful to prevent panic, but this audio is focused on reminding you that panic won't harm you and that you can tolerate the unpleasant sensations of panic.

Emotion Training audio can be used as relaxation or you can use it to learn how to access emotions such as calmness or strength when you need to. The audio trains the brain to pair the emotions with certain colors and once you have learned the process, you can elicit the emotions you desire by imagining the paired color flowing through you.

The general idea of CBT is to repeat rational statements that challenge the irrational fears until the rational beliefs become stronger than the fears. Since it is difficult for a person to do this while having a panic attack, the panic assistance audio in this app helps you to do this. This self-help method can provide the coaching many people need to cope with panic. However, some people may need therapeutic help in addition to this.

Ignore the dates graphics and the fact that it's not the most user friendly app and spend some time getting to grips with the layout. I've only had this app for 2 days and I'm feeling so much more positive. Been using the CBT diary daily. There is so much info on here to help you understand what is happening to your mind and body. Haven't tried the audio's yet, of which there are many, but looking forward to them based on others reviews.

I don't know how she does it but whenever I listen to the meditations I fall asleep before she even describes the scenes! Her voice is so calming and gentle and makes me relax. Wonderful app and simple to use. I like how when they make a change to it there's a message that says what the update did and how to continue to navigate it. Change is very triggering for some people and it's nice that is taken into consideration.

This app has given me a new freedom. I had become afraid to go to sleep from fear of having a panic attack alone in my bed. I listen to different audios each night. Sometimes I fall asleep before an audio is over, sometimes I listen to two. If I start to feel anxious and think I may be heading down the hole towards a panic attack, I turn on the assistance audio. My use of "emergency" anti-anxiety meds have decreased significantly! I still take my daily meds, but maybe someday I'll be able to wean off those. Thank you!

Helped me so much. The audios got me through a massive panic attack. I am on 2 types of anti depressants, a mood stabilizer and an anti anxiety meds and this app is what got me through the brunt of it. If you need help you will find it with this app.

I suffer from constant panic attacks and anxiety problems, and although I usually practice yoga, meditation breathing, tapping to help ease this difficult times, sometimes is not enough or I just need an extra push to get out of it. How can i not give credit to this incredibly generous psychologist? Every other app is locked and only gives you a few tips. This one is packed with mindfulness recordings and a massive wealth of knowledge. It combines mindfulness tools and CBT. This app deserves more downloads and people like her need more praise. The audios have been really effective for me to help me to relax. I was helped out of several panic attacks by listening to the assistance audio, so good to have on your phone in case of an emergency. I've had it for ages and only just used the cognitive diary for the first time, which was actually very effective at bringing me into a calmer state of mind when I woke up in the middle of the night with many stresses and worries. If you have problems with anxiety I recommend keeping this app on your phone.
