Great app. Recently started crashing when paused in the background for long periods. This loses my place in 8hour audiobooks which is quite annoying. Still think this is the best player

R70%
by R####:

Needs an EQ for those of us with tinny headphones and loss of hearing. Other than that - a great app.

V70%
by V####:

It's a beta version ya know right? Only missing UPnP renderer ability, otherwise just Plain, Powerful, and Bloody Skookum!

I70%
by I####:

Please add EQ, the bass is so bad

R70%
by R####:

Like a fine wine, it just gets better with age. It streams, plays all the good formats, and supports ReplayGain.

H70%
by H####:

Because it isn't perfect as the desktop version but it gets better. ;)

R70%
by R####:

Since adding wma support, it's become the only music app I need, and it's by far the most useful and prettiest I've used. Very happy it was ported to android finally.

R70%
by R####:

Needs an EQ and more songs in my library. That's all.

R70%
by R####:

Be nice to support a few more formats eg .dsf but the Android version is still a baby. Very pleased it exists at all!

R70%
by R####:

The only free Music Player with Gapless Playback working on my S7 edge.

R70%
by R####:

Great on Windows. Thanks for the port to Android.

P70%

Great music player, improve it and it will be better, keep good work

R70%

To add a network share like samba would be nice.

Great on windows, great on android! Foobar rules!

Great! And it is getting greater!

Awesome music player

R70%

How the f*** do you seek?! The seek bar doesn't work. Also, the UI is among the weirdest in all music players I've tried. Gapless playback and silence removal didn't work. What made Fooba2000 great on Windows was the ability to tag and sort by any custom tags you'd want (e.g. "Workout: 80%" or "Study: great"). The Android version doesn't support tags added by FB2K.

R70%
by R####:

Awesome music player! Only one tiny glitch remains: When called through an external filemanager, the chosen track will be restarted (and changed to, when another track is chosen) on orientation change (at least on XT1068). Also, for every orientation change, foobar will create a new dynamic playlist. Restarting foobar will get rid of this behaviour.

R70%
by R####:

No EQ. Doesn't support wma. Ugly interface. Gapless stopped working but there's a crossfader. If your tracks are unnumbered and the "hide duplicates" setting is on, it will only show one track but the total album length will be unaffected.

by R####:

I'm a long time user of foobar on my pc and never had any problems. This though, for some reason doesn't recognize my flac files. It's surprising since the exact same files are being detected and played with no problems by the default music player.

R70%
by R####:

Please fix this behaviour : when playing a song, when you swipe the the album art, it brings you back to the song list instead of moving forward or backward in the the actual song list... (a swipe up or down could apply the actual behaviour, but left/right swipe should definitely change song) ...................... It reads FLAC & ALAC, allows sorting album covers list by artist. It basically have all the features you need in a media player and it's free !!!

X70%
by X####:

Just as awesome as the desktop version. My only critique is that whenever you use the search function to pull up a list of corresponding songs, you can only play the first song you select. If you try to go back and play another song listed in the search results it just restarts the first song you selected when after searching.

R70%
by R####:

The quality of the FLAC music tracks over my Bose headphones are just wonderful! I like that it does not have ads and no unnecessary permissions. This is what all apps should adhere to! It is not unneccesarily bloated in terms of system resources. What can be improved is the GUI, and make it easier to browse playlists/tracks. Headphones controls does NOT work - please fix this. The time scroll bar on the tracks does NOT work. Thus i can only give 3 stars.

R70%
by R####:

I really like the sound. But I have one problem. I arranged my music with one folder and each album as sub folder. It cannot make play list from folder but only from last subfolder instead. It really frustrating me.

P70%
by P####:

Folder management is very good. On the other hand, playlist management is a disaster. Doesn't support multiple clicks on one button mic headset for next/previous track. Other than that it does what it suppose to do with additional advanced features...

U70%
by U####:

If you're familiar with the PC version then you know they focus on sound vs looks. With no tweaks sounded better than Google Play Music in my car using aux-in. The options of 'black' & 'white' for skins made me chuckle :)

T70%
by T####:

Desktop version is terrific, but this one is horrible. Not module based (no SoX, ColumnUI, Lyric Show Panel, Waveform Seekbar, for example), no EQ (please no built-in eq ie. foo_dsp_xgeq), only 2 output selection (no DACs, hi-res), and poor UI. Hopefully developer team will put more effort to mobile version. As long and loyal desktop user.

My favorite player on PC now on my phone. Have not completly tested it out, but sure that the minor glitches recognized by other commentators will be fixed in notime. Keep up that great work. Foobar rules!

L70%
by L####:

Not as awesome as the desktop version; could use an equalizer! However, it appears to have some internal plugins for playing .vgz rips ( arcade games, japanese home computers etc ) , super nintendo, sega genesis etc music!! For that obscure feature, i'm giving it 5 stars! if i could donate, i would!

Y70%
by Y####:

I'd pay for this, thanks for keeping it free! Android skins are excellent and can be found on the foobar2000 forums under "skins". I'd still like add-ons but that's merely wishful thinking.

W70%
by W####:

I love the PC version, but this is a disaster. How do you go back to "now playing"? Can you add songs to the "now playing" queue? I just want a music player that can show me what's playing now and lets me add songs to play next

H70%
by H####:

I used to use VLC but have had nothing but problems with it so I've been looking to replace it, I finally came across this player and I will never use another. Thanx Foobar2000 your app is truly genious.

I70%
by I####:

It sorts better than the standard music player. Good gui and plenty of sorting features. I ran into a problem very soon, which is that it's unable to read the disc number from the Metadata, so double-sided records won't play. Unnumbered or same-numbered tracks on the album also has this problem. This happens with my .ogg files, don't know if it's restricted to those.

R70%
by R####:

Foobar2000! I'm so happy to see this available on the Android! I am seeing a few problems with it not recognizing that some songs are grouped in an album. I don't know what's up with that. Every other player recognizes the albums and groups all of the songs together.

R70%
by R####:

Excellent playback, and in my opinion the easiest to use, if not very pretty, interface. There needs to be some sort of tag editing method, and the app is mostly incompatible with the LG v20's second screen

R70%
by R####:

I have it on my hi-fi set, on my PC and now on my phone, which is great. There aren't many serious music players for Android, so it is good to have it on this platform.

B70%

Finally rid of the nefarious G-Mart please-buy-player. Couldn't be happier. Keep up the good work Foo team !

G70%
by G####:

Only thing that would be nice is an eq or playback via android audio enhancements, sometimes you just need to tweak for some devices that sound a bit naff
