Grocery King Shop List Free

I would have given this five stars until a month or two ago. It shows no images in search anymore, AT ALL... So i tried to re-install it but it wants me to pay again. I contacted these people 4 or 5 times and still haven't heard anything back and it's been months. Going to delete it soon if i don't hear back. Out of milk is a good app for this.

I like this app a lot because it can function as a price book so you know if a sale is actually a good deal. However I'm still struggling with the interface so I'm not sure if I can look up the past price of an item without putting it on a list. This would be great to check sale prices quickly. I think the app will be great when I figure out how to use all the features. I'd like it more if the interface was more obvious or if there were better directions available.

I had high hopes for Grocery King! It has a decent UI, compared to other grocery apps I have tried. It has the ability to add items, prices, and quantities. I wanted to use it to help get a better handle on our family food budget. I saved my receipts. I made sure every item was included, including tax. However, after a few attempts, I couldn't get the same figure on Grocery King that I had on my receipts. I discovered that #s weren't holding and increasing quantity wasn't increasing the total on some items.

I love the app...but needed to upgrade to paid version for some features. Also had to pay for a second app in order to be able to sync with my spouse. The app is worth paying for though. update December 2016. Not sure if the developers are around anymore. We have tried to contact them through the app and via email with no response. We have two paid versions of this great software but got two new phones and now we are not able to sync between the two phones. So the stand alone app is great but since there is no customer service and no way to sync between two users anymore, changing my rating unfortunately to a 1. If they ever respond (its been two weeks) I may update this again.

This apps ok. Definitely not worth $6.99 for the paid version. It has great potential but it isn't there yet. I love the idea of having a recipe book keeper idea but it needs major work. I currently use a recipe keeper app which uploads recipes from the Web flawlessly. Uploading them to this app is a pain as you have to copy and paste the ingredients, directions, prep time, etc. Separately. I'm too busy for that. Also, cannot scan or photograph receipts to upload as indicated on the app description.

Grocery King is the best shopping list app I have used. It is very customizable to suit the users needs. I would give it 5 stars if, when you pay for the upgrade from the free app it did not still show up as the free app version and also that I could save the checkout receipt into my phone! A bit more development is required... I have to add this comment, I run this app on my tablet and cell phone, but recently the sync function will not work reduced the star rating to 2

Nice clean app but not happy that the free version offers no way to back up shopping lists so that they can be uploaded to the new paid version (different device). Two weeks of work lost. That's the only reason I dropped this to 3 stars. Least they could do is allow the list to be emailed or downloaded somehow. Also a nice upgrade would be to have low pantry/recipe items linked to the shopping list so all one would have to do is press send to list.

Arguably the best app out there of it's kind. Though, I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could as it's still not perfect. I've tried quite a few others, most are ugly, some are nice looking and even quite intuitive, but this one looks great, is mostly intuitive, and packs some of what I feel are the most important features. One thing that would make this absolutely perfect would be the ability to search and not just browse purchase history, or have another way to quickly see the last purchase date of an item.

This is probably the best shopping list app I've found so far. The only thing I don't like is that you have to upgrade to pro to be able to sync/share it. $7 is pretty steep just to keep track of your groceries, but other than that, the features are great

I agree with others, this app has GREAT potential, but DEFINITELY needs more work put into it! I paid for the full version, but don't feel I got my money's worth. There are a lot of areas that need more data input in order to make it more user friendly! I ALSO use a recipe app that works perfect, and this needs much more work in that area also. My suggestion? DO some BETA testing with consumers like myself, who do this on a regular basis and understand customer/company satisfaction! I'd love to help!!

So great for planning shopping trips. I don't just use it for groceries, I make lists for many stores or places and add items whenever I think of them so I don't forget. I wish there was an option to remove coupons after expiry though, that way when a sale is over it doesn't continue to show up in the price comparison option.

Purchased the upgrade with sync capabilities. Purchased a new phone and it won't sync. Contacted customer service via email but haven't received a response. If they ever get this fixed, rating will be updated. Otherwise I'm out 7 bucks and have lost all my data entries. Update: two days and no response

This app has a Learning curve, or maybe I'd call it setup time. I'm doing the "by aisle" organization and it is taking me a few trips to my stores to get it right. App only offers 10 aisles, so need to assign 2 or 3 aisles worth of items to one aisle. Love cross out but not disappearing items. Woah! Just got around to adding loyalty cards. ONLY TWO allowed? No way.

This used to be a great app. I have used this app for a couple of years now and all of a sudden it will not sync. Every time I try to differ it, there is a server issue. I tried emailing the company for help and I have been ignored. I love all the features and am having a hard time finding an app to replace it. I wish that things can be left alone, if it aint broke don't fix it.

Great as a grocery list, it's primary duty, but also customizable WRT categories and store aisles. I also like that I can set priorities and that it has a section for your loyalty cards. It has far fewer kinks and syncs with other uses far better than other apps we've tried. I wish it integrated with recipes and had Web browser access though.

This is the best of the best app! I've tried many app but none of them able to fulfil ny need, until I stumbled on this app. This app is (almost) perfect app for me & my shopping needs. The app is wonderful. Takes time to setup but is v v good. But disappointed by the payment terms. I bought the full software from the in app purchase & was charged 425 INR. But the Playstore price is 199 INR. Kinda feel scammed! Pls correct it. Would be obliged if u refund the extra amount. Nagen

I just ditched another well-known and popular grocery list app that I used for years because it was a huge disappoint after their recent update. This app is great so far and offers almost all of the features I was used to. (And a few additional that I really like) I would give it 5 stars if it included a store deals finder and to-do list feature. Otherwise very useful app and I like it a lot! :)

because it's the best and the customer service is awesome! EDIT: I was told that recipe clipping could be linked with the Android version "in the summer." No answer (I emailed them in August; it's almost October). No update. No refund for not keeping up their end of the bargain.

I thought price data will be stored, but in fact not after checked out!!!!!!!! Wht's the purpose of setting price?? Just for double checking w cashiers??????? If it provides budgeting & price saving function, it'd complete the purpose of grocery app. When i read the notes i marked, i should enter edit page but not view page, not readable!!!!!! If the shopping list & stock changed to image based instead of word based, like a real cabinet, shopping would be funnier.

I purchased the upgrade in the app to full feature, which includes syncing. the "create account" process failed and gave an error for 2 different email addresses, both functional, and neither ever involved in with this app. I emailed their support through the app, their website and waited for 1/2 hour on their chat service and never had a reply. Very disappointing. will be request return of payment from Play. in an immensely competitive market, customer support is essential, and theirs is pathetic.

Inputting to lists is frustrating. I lose what I type because the steps are not intuitive. Can't I just add an item without selecting a category, price or quantity? Too many steps I don't need. Also, I've only tried this app for 24 hours. Unable to know if I want to purchase because you're only allowed 3 lists. Not enough to put it to the test. I was initially attracted by the visual aspects (like the store icons), but don't see how to implement them and am too frustrated to fiddle with it anymore. Sorry

I don't think unless you subscribe to it you can price compare weekly. I could give a rats ---- if I'm passing a store or their hours of operation. I just want to add my grocery list by flipping quickly thru flyers (manually) input their prices and do my shopping. When an item that I need (per flyer or shopping list) I can flip thru my flyers list, see if its there. Simple. Until this 'basic' way is available I guess I'll just make my own. But thank you to the developers anyway, and if I'm wrong and you do offer that w/o subscription my apologies. Guess its not that easy to find.

In the description, it shows that we have the ability to save Barcodes. Would be much better if the Barcode Scanner consistently worked. Sync isn't working either. We should be able to share across devices too, not just text or email.

Really try to learn this app after paying 6.99 for it. It seemed like a good thing. Now having problem with not clearing items that I already checked off. Keeps saying i need items checked and I did. Also when adding an item not able to view notes without having to hit the edit button. Can I get a refund?

2nd Review! Developer DOES NOT REPLY TO REVIEWS or EMAILS! SIMPLE QUESTIONS - #1-Does this app work across platforms, ie: iPhone to Android? #2- Is each family member required to pay the $6.99 upgrade fee to be able to share and edit the Pantry list, Shopping list, etc? A SIMPLE REPLY is all that is keeping me from purchasing the upgrade. This app may be one of the best grocery lists out there... BUT $6.99 upgrade to use the features that make it good are too much! That's $14.00 for me and my wife! Drop the price for 5 stars.

If it does everything it says it can do it's awesome, I purchased app 6.99 &directions for use is aweful and hard to understand and scanning bar codes work but can't get list of what was scanned to show up, a generic list shows up instead, program doesn't work, I purchased program prior to reading reviews, I wanted it to work but it's a waste of money, I regret puchasing it yesterday! can't save receipts either, no price comparison, pantry doesn't work

It's not totally intuitive, but I like the multiple list feature and that you can "reassign" items to different lists. That is the one thing my former grocery app lost that I couldn't live without. Its a bit complex in the overall how to get to things, but it's ok.

This is easily a five star app, but syncing stopped working around 11/20/16. Two emails to support have not earned a response. I've signed out of my account on multiple devices and signed back in, cleared app cache, reinstalled the app but nothing has worked. Gotta be a server issue as the app hasn't been upgraded since 8/2015. EDIT: dropped to one star; app must have been abandoned by dev team.

I like the app. But I'm wondering if I just haven't figured something out yet or not. When I add items to my grocery list and check them off and check out, is there a way to automatically have them added to my stock.

I cook all our meals from scratch and this app helps me to keep up with everything I have to buy from multiple stores. I keep my phone with me and add to the list when I run out of stuff. I forget much less. Its pretty easy to add items as well. Could use many more aisles to use that function. My store has over 30 aisles.

I was looking for something to keep track of what groceries I had at home so I would know if I needed to buy more. Grocery King looked perfect. There's only one problem, it won't run. Starts loading then 'app has stopped' pops up. This problem has persisted through multiple updates.

I like it, but it's not as simple to use as I'd like... which, to be fair, could be me not wanting to fiddle with it until I figure it out. I still use it!

One little thing I would like to see solved/improved though is adding multiple bar codes to the same item. I am kind of a power user and I like to customise many things to fit my flow. I've found that I buy different brands of things like eggs regularly so I would end up with 2 or 3 different kinds of eggs in my pantry list when all I want to see is I'm out of eggs not which ones. So I've since made a generic egg item, I just wish I could save all the different bar codes for the eggs I buy to that one item.

I used myShopi until they got rid of their image search and switched to this one. I'm glad because in terms of functionality, it's so much better! For example, you can enter a store location per list and it syncs store hours. There are a lot of things you can do with this app (like track pantry stock, etc) which may be why many reviews found it hard to figure out. (I didn't.) Also, downside, had to purchase app to get most of functions like image search. Was more expensive than most app purchases too.

This is a good substitute for those wanting to ditch that other grocery app that recently had a terrible update. I've been using this one for a few weeks. It took some time to learn how to use it, but I love it. Thanks for a great functioning app.

I used Out of Milk for years, but wasn't happy with the last upgrade. I found this one and love it! Light years ahead of any other!

Really like this app but the bar code scanner will not work any more. I have to put everything in by hand.

Works great, love that it keeps track of my total as I shop and that I don't have to keep track of pen, paper, & calculator. I would have given it 5 stars but I don't like that I have to pay to be able to have more than 3 store lists and to add my savings cards. Also I have been unable to find out if it's a one time charge or a monthly one. I would be willing to pay a 1 time charge.

Has a bit of a learning curve, but it does what I was looking for...something to track what I need and have and also tell me what to make for dinner based on what's in my kitchen...love this most of all! Would be 5 stars but bar code scanner can be glitchy and I wish I could search my stock to make adding to and removing easier.
