Harbin Ice Festival

The top four ice and snow festivals in the world include Harbin Ice Festival, Japan's Sapporo Snow Festival, Canada's Quebec City Winter Carnival, and Norway's Ski Festival. Harbin Ice Festival held in Harbin annually was established in 1983 officially, being the largest and earliest ice sculpture exhibition worldwide and has become a traditional event in Harbin. Harbin’s ice sculpture work has been well known worldwide and has exhibited in a number of countries throughout Asia, Europe, North America, Africa and Oceania in the past.
The Hong Kong Harbin Ice Festival organized by United Events Limited with Shap Pat Heung District Resident Association, The Harbin Municipal Tourism Administration and Heilongjiang Provincial Tourism Bureau, will be held in Tai Tong, Yuen Long from October 2014. In recent years, Tai Tong has been growing in popularity, with its wide diversity of leisure activities such as BBQ site, Lychee Valley and especially the Red Maple Site, where visitors are able to enjoy its iconic red maples scenery and step out from their busy life.
