Stolpersteine München

Über 40'000 Stolpersteine gibt es inzwischen in Europa: 10 x 10 cm große Messing-Platten, die in die Gehwege von 1'100 Städten in 16 Ländern vom Künstler Gunter Demnig verlegt wurden und am letzten freiwilligen Wohnort der Opfer des NS-Regimes gedenken.

Jeder Stein trägt einen Namen, sowie Geburts- und Todesdaten, Deportationsort oder Ort der Ermordung eines von den Nationalsozialisten verfolgten Menschen.

Ein Stein, ein Name, ein Mensch.

In München gibt es keine Stolpersteine auf öffentlichem Grund, da der Stadtrat der Verlegung im Jahr 2004 nicht zugestimmt hat. Einige wenige Stolpersteine konnten inzwischen auf Privatgrund verlegt werden, doch der überwiegende Teil der von Bürgern und Angehörigen gespendeten Steine sind eingelagert, bis ihre Verlegung möglich ist.

Diese App zeigt "digitale Stolpersteine" im Stadtgebiet Münchens auf einer Karte an. Befindet man sich an einer der über hundert* Adressen im Stadtgebiet, erkennt die App Ihren Standort und öffnet automatisch eine Liste der Namen von Menschen, die hier ihren letzten Wohnsitz hatten. Zu jedem Namen steht ein Lebenslauf zur Verfügung, teilweise mit Foto und Hintergrund-Informationen zu wichtigen historischen Ereignissen. Wer von zu Hause in Ruhe die Biografien nachlesen möchte, kann die entsprechenden digitalen Stolpersteine in der Karte antippen und gelangt so zu den Texten.

Für eine Spende von nur 10 EUR recherchieren wir ein weiteres Schicksals eines NS-Opfers und integrieren dessen Biographie.

Each stone has a name, and birth and death dates, place of deportation or murder of a people persecuted by the Nazis.

In Munich there are no stumbling blocks on public land because the city council has not approved the relocation in 2004. A few stumbling blocks could be laid on private property now, but the vast majority of the donations received from citizens and nationals stones are placed until their relocation is possible.

This app shows "digital stumbling blocks" in the city of Munich on a map. If you find yourself at one of over a hundred * addresses in the city, the app detects your location and automatically opens a list of names of people who had their last residence here. For each name there is a resume available, some with photo and background information on important historical events. Who wants to read the biographies of home in peace and quiet, tapping the digital stumbling blocks in the map and so find the lyrics.

For a donation of only 10 EUR, we investigate a further fate of a Nazi victim and integrate his biography.
