I codici, in tutto 839, sono inseriti all'interno dell'"Elenco dei rifiuti" istituito dall'Unione Europea con la Decisione2000/532/Ce.
L'"Elenco dei rifiuti" della UE è stato recepito in Italia a partire dal 1º gennaio 2002 in sostituzione della precedente normativa. L'elenco dei rifiuti riportato nella decisione 2000/532/Ce è stato trasposto in Italia con due provvedimenti di riordino della normativa sui rifiuti:
- il Dlgs 152/2006 (recante "Norme in materia ambientale"), allegati alla parte quarta, allegato D;
- il Dm Ministero dell'ambiente del 2 maggio 2006 ("Istituzione dell'elenco dei rifiuti") emanato in attuazione del Dlgs 152/2006 e successivamente dichiarato incapace di produrre effetti giuridici, non essendo stato sottoposto al preventivo e necessario controllo della Corte dei conti, con comunicato del Ministero dell'Ambiente pubblicato in Gazzetta Ufficiale n. 146 del 26 giugno 2006. The codes, around 839, are inserted inside the '"List of Waste" established by the European Union with the Decisione2000/532/Ce.
L '"List of Wastes" the EU has been transposed in Italy as of 1 January 2002, replacing the previous legislation. The list of wastes contained in Council Decision 2000/532/EC was transposed in Italy with two measures for the reorganization of the legislation on waste:
- Legislative Decree 152/2006 (on "Environmental Regulations"), annexed to Part IV, Annex D;
- The Ministry of the Environment Dm of 2 May 2006 ("Establishment of waste") issued pursuant to Legislative Decree 152/2006 and subsequently declared incapable of producing legal effects, not having been subjected to the necessary preventive and control of the Court of accounts, with release of the Ministry of the Environment published in the Official Gazette no. 146 of 26 June 2006.
