I cant seem figure out how to tie notes together... I cant find other key signatures. I really want a good app so i can jot my ideas down without carrying my music around with me... But this is anything but user friendly... Maybe if each note or "instance" could have a menu that you could edit all of that notes parameters from i.e. pitch, time value, volume, a tie if tied to the next note... I probably just dreaming of an app that probably wont be free.

This is an awesome app, even if you have the free version. However, there are some bugs. The first one I noticed is that, in the middle of my work, the notes would not make sound when they were placed. Then, I noticed that, after saving and leaving, any repeat bars at the end switched to the left side of the measure. Additionally, if you could fine tune the tuplets, that would help. One song I have has some in one instrument, but not another and the tuplet instrument rushes ahead of the other. Lastly, it is impossible to have flats or sharps on grace notes. Other than these, great job, and I look forward to the time I get the full version.

The app doesn't work on an LG phone because it relies on the use of a physical menu button for some functions, such as playing the music. If the developers are still alive, ADD A VIRTUAL MENU BUTTON FOR LG USERS! This used to be my favorite so and now I can't use it just because I got a new phone! It needs to be fixed!

I really like the app. It is really nice and quick for putting the notes in. There are a few things though (unless these are improved in pro version). First of all, I found that you can't change clefs during a piece which is vital for some instruments. Secondly, you can't change key signature during a piece. Thirdly with orchestral strings sound it is all treble clef so it is too bad if you want a group of violas, cellos and double basses as opposed to the solo ones. If you have sorted out what I mentioned in pro, I will happily upgrade as this is the best android composer app I tried.

well i am thinking of getting this but, i have no idea if it can copy paste. and at 9.99 id want it to copy paste. loltz obviously does not answer question meaning no copy pasteing bars i assume.. no advancement in a year, price outragous compared to feature (full featured what are you smoking)

Using it to better my understanding of note placement on sheet music . Volume really low on the app so its kinda hard to hear. Also kinda hard to control; no real menu or back button , can't seem to make the notes move instead of deleting and backing up. Please improve. Great app otherwise.

This is probably the best music composer app on Android, but there are still things that could be done to improve it. I'm currently writing a piano piece that requires the use of two bass clefs. I wish there was an option on the piano staff to make it a double bass clef because I currently have to use two sets of music staves to write the piece out which makes it look confusing. I don't see a way to edit the speed, but maybe I just haven't found it. Overall, this is a great app.

It's great. I just wish I could share the music in the free version. Other than that I like the layout and versitility. I've noticed a bug where the note doesn't always play when you put it down and I have been kicked out of the app sometimes when trying to write a 6 note chord. Also the repeat bar at the end of a song glitches to the left. As a simple band aid solution I simply add a last measure with a rest but this really shouldn't be the case.

I also am encountering the bug where a "repeat close" sign becomes "repeat open" on launch. Fix this (should be simple) for a well-deserved 5 stars. Seriously, changing like two lines of code would fix this common problem in less than five minutes.

An excellent program, very pragmatic. Almost like the real thing. But honestly this type of application is difficult to construct, despite its suddle insufficiencys it is of a well thoughtout design. Wonderful for jotting down hard to remember tunes.

It would be 10 times better if it would automatically transpose. Like a concert Bb is a C (I think) on clarinet and so on and so forth. Cause it sucks having to go and find the transposition chat for each instrument that isn't concert pitch

U70%
by U####:

I only gave it a 3 because of the lack of quality and the fact that it's overpriced. It sounds like you just recorded one note and bent the pitch up and down and it really sounds terrible. I'd like the price to be brought down so that if I am disappointed I won't be too mad at myself for spending $13 on something that's worth $5

Tried the trial, liked what I seen so purchased the full app only to find the menu doesn't appear on the pro version. Very disappointing.... Looks like it "could" be great...

To be honest, I could not learn some songs if it were not for this app. But sometimes it is just infuriating. Creating one song takes way to much time. Sometimes it does not want to play music at all.

U70%
by U####:

... most of the time when I'm in the middle of composing a piece, the app stops on me. There are also several occasions in which when I'm done with a project and save it, it won't open and gives me a window stating that app stopped.

It won't play what I've wrote. Either that, or it seriously takes more than 5 minutes to load one measure of music from one instrument. I think this app is just not optimized for Marshmallow. So if you're using Marshmallow, don't bother. It works fine on my Note 4 running Lollipop though.

When I buy the pro one it doesn't work properly cause I have no menu key on the note 5. And Holding back doesn't work. Just give me the free app with all the features when I purchase it. Too much too ask? As for now I have to stick with the free one. The pro one was refunded :(. Fix and I'll buy for sure. Nice app tho.

This is exactly what I wanted and more. The capabilities of a small Finale basically, streamlined into a full fledged, easy to use program! I have no complaints. This is the only program you will need to compose anything on the phone, period. When you're a composer and travel like me all the time, finding time to even get to a piano can be a pain. God bless whoever made this wonderful program.

BUGS! I loved the app, but it has several bugs on my first 30 minutes with it. (1)There are times after playing, the tune, the GUI stops "showing" until you press the play button again (The GUI Becomes invisible, but can still be used) (2)There are several times times that "Load sounds" would take REALLY long. Suggestions: -Have a toggle to enable/disable note overwriting. This way, It would be easier to edit the pieces instead of completely rewriting it.

by S####:

It wont let me even put the title on my piece. As soon as I open it, it crashes. I uninstalled the app for a while, hoping it would get better, but its the same problemand its been like that since September. It's a good app if only I can use it...

S70%

I use it to compose songs for piano and it works great, but my concern is when I compose for a brass group. Everything is written in concert pitch. Is there a way to change that in the pro version? or would I be better off writing everything by hand?

T70%

But that 'generating sound' actually disappoints me. And I am sad because I cant convert it into a printable sheet or convert into a music track unless I buy the Pro Version. I don't have a credit card so it makes me sadder :(

Sometimes it takes minutes to generate sounds, and sometimes it just gets stuck generating sounds and I have to close it, losing all of my unsaved changed. Don't know why this happens, but if it's something you can fix, please do... Maybe add an auto-save feature?

A70%
by A####:

It's a very cool app. I wish there were more features, like changing the pitch of the instruments, making the clarinet sounds more like a clarinet, & having the ability of changing the clef of instruments. I haven't looked at the pro version yet, so I don't know what to expect.

S70%
by S####:

It works well enough, but you can't save your work to your device, only to the app. So once you are Dona and want to listen to your finished piece, you cannot do it unless you go through the app. I find that a huge setback, as it totally defeats the purpose of what I wanted to do in the first place. Unfortunately, that feature is one you would have to pay for. If it were not for that, this app would have gotten five stars.

S70%
by S####:

Superb free app. However, I don't seem to be able to change the pitch of a note once placed, and the playback has some issues - namely the bass stave lags behind the treble after a few bars. Other than that it does everything I would expect. I will probably buy the pro version.

S70%
by S####:

When you try to play back notes, it will say "generating sounds" but it will take all day to actually do it, even if you've only typed up one or two bars. Entering notes is also a difficult process. Buy another app, you are better off.

I've tried several other music writing software on my RCA Pro 10 and this is the one I'm sticking with. There seems to be a bug with saving xml file to microSD card, where it says the file was saved but there's no music file when I try to retrieve it. Also, when I transfer it to my Finale software on pc (through usb connection, see above) there is no clef on any other than the first system, which looks odd.

S70%
by S####:

In the description, it says, "Export midi files or set your compositions as ringtones." However, when I click on "Save midi file", it says that this feature is only available in the Pro version. I can't find any other way of saving compositions as ringtones. The same goes for "Support for up to 15 instruments played simultaneously" -- when I try to add instruments, it says this is only available in the Pro version. They should either enable these features or remove this false information.

S70%
by S####:

I am very happy with what can be used, my only annoyance is that very little of what can be done in the feature list can be done until you go to the Pro version. I downloaded it, seeing two listings, and thought it would be great to try and then go Pro, once it works out, but then 3/4 of everything in the main list prompts me to upgrade.

Definately the best one on the play store. The full version is worth it, although it is a bit pricey. Only thing is, could you please add the ability to copy/paste segments, and maybe also the option to change the midi soundfont? Theres also some other things, such as making the dynamics more noticable; adding a pedal option for the piano; adding more commonly used instruments, such as pizzicato strings; etc. If it could get a little closer to the usability of MuseScore, that would be fantastic.

$9.00 for pro version!?!? thats insane! If anything pro should be like 99 cents or something. I find it easy and fun composing music it's very easy and accurate. Just wish u would add brass band instruments especially trumpet for the regular version thank u for reading please consider.

This is, without a doubt, the most fully featured notation editor on the Android market like you claim it is (that I can find anyway). But it's not much better than the rest. If you want to stand out from the others, you're going to need improvements. I understand that there will be limitations on mobile devices and I don't think anybody is expecting a Sibelius or Finale clone, but I know that this app can be better. I have a list of things to add, but it doesn't fit in this box.

There really needs to be an option to work in tabs for guitar or bass instruments for people that just find that easier to work with. If I could write using tabs this would be my go to app for composing stuff since there aren't many other apps that do multi instrumental composing.

It still says "Generating Sounds..." For too long before it was instant now it takes two minutes I will rate 5 stars after you fix this. It has a lot of potential.

Finally, an app allowing me to get the music in my head down without needing manuscript, and I can't afford Makemusic Finale! I will upgrade to Pro as soon as I see they have made measure copy and paste possible! For a free program, this is great. Question for Lotuz Studio, can you guys please give us your email/contact? I googled you and couldn't find it.
