Music Teacher's Helper

I struggle with a few of the details (for example, mileage is more complicated than I'd like--there's no filling it out partially and then finishing when you get home) but it's so handy to have an app for the program I use, and I'm sure it will only continue to improve with specific requests.

The layout of the application itself is really nice. The platform it uses is the only one like it I've found, and is everything I would expect in one. I'd recommend at least trying this out. Despite other reviews, this does have the ability to delete, edit and move events. Every feature I need is there, I think it could just be a little easier to find what you need, like a clean tutorial. I'm more on the technologically inclined, so I figure things out easily. But for those that aren't, may be disappointed.

Annoyingly glitchy on my Samsung Galaxy. I have never been able to keep current records because it's too frustrating sometimes. Easier on the laptop, but I need better portability since I'm back and forth from my school studio to my home. Has potential to be a great tool.

Use the web version on a PC, runs like a dream. The Android version on phone is not so good. In the schedule pupils times are often changed from PM to AM, which is very annoying. It also doesn't have all functions that the web page has. In fact it is easier to have the web page running on the phone.

The integrated features are very nice. However, I have had some problems getting the invoices set up correctly. Once that's working properly, it will be great.

App has been working great. Not entirely sure what initially caused the problems I was experiencing but they seemed to have magically disappeared. :) A lot of the updates have increased the flexibility of the app as well - I can now edit my calendar/students without having to go to the pc as an example. Thanks for all the hard work "guys" ; )

I can't do anything with this app and I'm so disappointed. I thought I had found a great studio tool. I can't even add a parent/student contact.

I figured I would try it again with my s7 to no avail. I couldn't even get started adding students. You guys need to fix this. I am deleting the app.

I have used this online software for years. The app is living up to my expectations. They strive to be excellent and although the app is not perfect it is a fantastic tool for any music teacher

The app is great for checking my schedule real quickly. However, I cannot edit my schedule, whether it's to change the lesson time, delete or add a lesson.

Still almost useless: you still cannot delete events, which should be a basic function. You cannot look up how much a student owes (also should be a basic function) and It's still very difficult to edit anything.

I love using Music Teacher's Helper, and the app works well for basic tracking. I have a small studio, only 6 students currently, and it fits my needs well.

I use my computer most of the time, but the Android app is very handy for quick references when on the go.

So simple to use in lessons and all my teaching work in one place.

...i find it hard to use, but the tech support is great and once figured out, it's useful for my biz.

So glad they finally released the app for android! A few bugs, but so nice to have at my fingertips!

In calendar view, I can only see from this month onward... I can't go back and look at previous months. Also, please make marking a lesson attendance more accessible... Right now it seems to be buried in the calendar section. It would be great if lessons that have passed show up on the main "dashboard" and you can mark attendance from there.

I love the features of this app. It is useful, reliable, and saves me a lot of time. I think it takes way too many taps for most features, which is why I only gave it 4 stars.

Update July 2015: Reconciliation still broken. Please fix. Calendar fixed - thank you! However - Reconciliation of an event (e.g., lesson) doesn't work. A few things: * When you select an event and then select "schedule", the next screen you see doesn't have the student's name on it. If you're reconciling more than one event, it would be very useful to see the event name while in the "reconcile" screen. * I tried to reconcile a lesson, but the system kept asking me to indicate a payee. This eventually worked - I think it meant that I didn't select something else. Not sure what I missed the first time. * Even though I selected a student's lesson as an event, if I click "Paid During Lesson," the system asks me who paid (received from). This doesn't make sense - it should know the student I selected. * If canceling an event, there is no way to indicate a "zero" charge. This app is getting better in very small steps. It would be REALLY nice to: 1. Have a "home" screen with events that can be reconciled (like on the web). 2. More calendar options (e.g., week view, see previous month). 3. Smarter reconcile screen (too many options that are defaults on the Web App).

Overall, nicely done. Would like to be able to view more info under billing, like historical info. When entering payments, have 1st letter auto capitalize when typing a message.

I used this app for tracking income and it was very helpful when filing my taxes! Also, it's very clean looking. I am waiting for this to be available for android tablet. I am also hoping that soon I will be able to email students using this app.

It's keep crashing every time I open the calendar. Things are getting so bad. Please fix...

Nice to see lessons scheduled. Would like to see ability to mark attendance from phone.

Would be nice to be able to make notes and payments without emailing them on the app. Would be nice to be able to call or email a student from the app. Otherwise, I'm using it a lot.

I love the fact that I can work on my music business while on the go. This app us functional and practical. However, what makes me give it a 3 star rating is the GUI (Graphical User Interface). The app needs bigger icons and menus for today's phones. Even using my Nexus 6 the icons appear small. Should be given a fresh look.

Using this app is much different than using the website so it requires a different mindset. Student lists are not in the same order on the app. The newly fixed calender for android works but the numbers are messed up. I use it. I sometimes have problems editing lesson times. I do wish "todays lessons" was still the opening page. I was unable to connect with the help service through my phone. It's handy but needs improvement.

Very helpful, and faster than logging into the website. Super convenient access to account, calendar, billing/payments, and all basic essentials. A must have for all MTH users!

I think this app functions very well compared to the desktop version. I do wish there was a way to see your makeup lessons on it. That is the only change I would make and give it 5.

This app drains my battery daily even when I have not opened it in days. Makes no sense why it is doing that, way more than apps I'm actually using. Would be a decent app otherwise.

Over all I think this is a good app for keeping track of my daily schedule and having each students contact info at a glance, but would like to be able to do more on it. Lesson payments, cancellations, notes...perhaps these features are available, but if so I don't find them intuitive.

I like having my student's handy at all times.

Doesn't matter how good or bad the app is if I have to uninstall it. Over a 6 hour period of screen off time, battery went down by 50% and 66% of that was MTH, which I haven't loaded for days!
