Not a bad app but it's design is not that great. When you go back in time and rewatch a previous time there is no way to fast forward. I'm not going to sit and let 12 hours of film play. Needs more features. Very basic app. I do like the alert feature but it does not show you in the timeline where the alert went off. Just needs more features. I would love to hear from them about this.
I installed the app two weeks ago and it worked fine for almost the full two weeks. Then it stopped connecting to the camera. My second camera came and so I reinstalled the first camera and installed the second camera it was working fine on the app and for about 30 minutes afterwards. When I tried to view the cameras again the app just says connecting and never goes live. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times logged out and logged back in to my account multiple times and the app is stuck in connecting mode and the view is of an old camera shot. I am going to give it one more try today before returning the cameras.
Im using the app to manage 2 stand alone cameras. 2 main problems: if you switch away from the live video screen, and switch back, the video isnt playing. Also, when i try to record a motion capture, the resulting mp4 is not playable.
I rated this a 1 because it kept kicking me of the Internet, I couldn't even get it set up.. every time I would scan for available WiFi, it would kick me off.. tried for 2 days... back to the store..I give up.
Got to Step 3 - Choose WiFi network and it just sat loading. Got an online chat with tech support on my computer....guy had no clue what I was talking abt, kept going silent, then advised that I call tech support. I was on Step 3...really? Online support can't even help with set-up. No way I'm keeping this. I'll just return it. No thanks.
Cannot view cameras from the app when I leave home. Spent 5 hours installing them on my home. Will be uninstalling them and returning for a refund. Shoddy app. Limited features. The camera itself is great. The software and app HORRIBLE. And YES I am using the CORRECT app.
App would be grateful "IF"..it wasn't so very slow....and theirs no way to fast forward recorded motion videos...not to mention finding where the motion recording is at on the time line ...just bad design on the app part ..camera is great but the app is trash...looking for another app for viewing my cameras
Stopped notifications customer support couldnt fix it, a technical support guy was supposed to call 24 to 48bhrs later. Its been over a,week.
Very basic need to be able to see how this thing is connecting to the app user, password things of that nature it does work the Playback function is pretty neat but basic for the price of the camera.
Tried to create an account...says my email format is not valid.
It records and then quits. Money throwed away

If you can update the app to allow to view all cameras at one's if you can do that

App sucks cant even look at my cameras outside my network.... App works when I'm at my house but if I leave my house and try to see my cameras all I see is black screen... Junk App... the reason why I got this cameras is to see my house when I'm away from home... moved from Xfinity security thinking this would be better... I was wrong...
Right now we have 2 xfinity 750p cameras and 1 1080p nightbowl cameras. I thot thevissue with the Night Owl app but have learned of the various issues with Xfinity internet/wifi services causing the issues. Bought a Linksys extender to fix and that didnt fix sobtook back and bought Netgear Night Owl extender. Xfinity kept blocking communication to the extenders so got on the phone with xfinity and they are coming back out. Taking the Netgear Night Owl back as can see both brands of csmeras without extender. Dont like paying $100 for xfinity 750p cameras when I can buy Night Owl 1080p for $100 after also buyung 32g storage card. Thats a little worrisome depending on a storage device card but have my Property Manager checking all these details. Suggest if u are suffering with inconsistent monitoring and have xfinity to study their system and call them. For example, we wud see a person in a video walking across the property and then he wud dissappear into thin air. Xfinitys response was because the guys body blocked their wifi.
