Not bad all around, but missing basic functionality of sorting by album artist. If that one problem is fixed I would probably rate 4 stars.

R70%
by R####:

Also for XDP-300R. Urgently needs Album Artist sorting option! Would like some eye candy like VU meter. Why are 44.1 flac files being upsampled to 48.8 even with all upsampling options being turned off?

R70%
by R####:

Crashes when transferring music from iTunes using XDAP link. Playlists transferred from iTunes using XDAP link appear in the Playlist menu but are blank when opened (other software like VLC opens the same playlists). Artwork is lost when transferring from iTunes using XDAP link.

by R####:

Please fix the "unkown" albums it sorts it all even it has different artist for example i chose artist A and select unkown album but when i select artist A unknown album it shows all the artist with unkown albums

R70%

44.1 FLAC resampled to 48, can't fix wrong art or album identification. Not clear what the digital filters actually do. Could use some TLC

Makes the Pioneer DAP do everything I need it to do as far a playing music is concerned.

Great app just add more spectrum and more improve on mp3, AAC. Update frequently too improve the player .

R70%
by R####:

It's good app, only needs an option to sort recently added songs.

Good player

Reasonable player

Needs recently added function as well as grid view, the list goes on for ever. Takes a lot of time for you to get to your recently added music. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Sorry guys but sound quality is too clear so clear it sounds like air. Needs to be solidified, equalizer is not functional.

K70%
by K####:

I like the look of the app, but it has a couple of huge issues. The last few seconds of AAC/m4a files are always cut off (I've tried a number of different files). The biggest issue however is no album artist view/sorting, which seriously clutters your artist list if you have compilation albums, listing a bunch of bands that only appear because they are on a comp. This is a HUGE issue with Android music apps in general and should not be a problem for an app designed to be used with Pioneer's DAPs.

Plays all my files perfectly. Tons of sound editing options, keeps my files organized the way I put them on the SD card.

Great music app that takes full advantage of the Pioneer XDR-100r hardware capabilities. The equalizer is awesome, great sound quality.

First of this DAP is really great but this app has a lot of falls. Why not support for files like *.ISO , ape , WV and cue? Even my older fiio x3 2nd gen was supporting those files and also splinting the the tracks via using cue files. A big nonsense. And also having playback issues like stoping suddenly or waiting between tracks so long.Should be done something for those problems Pioneer...

The design of this app is quite good, but it has a fatal flaw. After a few songs play, the app becomes unresponsive and then is forced to reset itself, which closes the music you were trying to play, forcing you to relocate it. I have not once made it through a full album. Confirmed to be this app only after testing several others. Also confirmed that my microSD card is genuine. This is a huge shame considering the device is dedicated to music. Fix it please!

R70%
by R####:

No album-artist tag support. Please implement ASAP, it's ridiculous that properly tagged files/albums can't be listed by album artist (instead of track artist).

There's crap ton of lag when I'm scrolling through my music library (around 94X songs) Sometimes it would just completely stuck and stop working… Pls fix it!!

Purports to be an audiophile music app but upsamples 44.1khz to 48khz, even when upsampling is disabled. The eq is pretty broken, so leave it disabled.

This seems to be a great app. Unfortunately, most of the buttons are not labeled, making it mostly inaccessible for talkback users. I have since discovered that the hardware buttons along with the fourth home screen make this app more accessible, and usable for the most part.

Very good default player but please change the album artwork to display either folder.jpg or cover.jpg or similar file formats. If I have multiple album artwork files it displays the first file. Very annoying. Thanks

It's a good music player for the XDP-100R as it uses the Sabre DAC and Amp exclusively unlike any other 3rd party players that only uses the Qualcomm integrated DAC.

Best high resolution player out there.

For me the navigation through the menus and sifting through and for my music is nothing short of excellent. It blows away PowerAmp and Google Play Music. Truly my favorite player on any platform since Winamp in the '90s

The ability to rip SACD's to DSD format and play them on the XDP has my ears purring!! No other music player required.

Not a bad player but it is a bit unintuitive in regards to navigating the app & menus. I also wonder if it is true that this is the only player that has access to the XDP's ESS audio chip?
