Great little App , it does just what I am looking for . I can plot and save my favorite fishing locations, even pre plot my courses and tides for future journeys. Great work guy's and dolls ....

Y70%
by Y####:

Not had the chance to use it to navigate yet plotting courses and looking around the app it all looks good so far.

B70%
by B####:

Very good app. Used for backup but just as good as most plotters

I previously used this app satisfactorily. But recently, completely without warning, it was deleted from my Samsung S5 and replaced by the new i-Boating version. The new app no longer accepts UK Hydrography Office charts and requires vector charts. I complained that this was poor service but was given the brush off. But the important point is that removal of the old app without warning was potentially dangerous to someone navigating using the app at the time. I have been able to reinstall the old app, but it is no longer fully functional.

Y70%
by Y####:

Just got a boat back on the water, used this to plot a route and check speed of new outboard on Loch Ness, it done what it said on the box, recorded route and played back to see just where I had been, my top speed & average speed, just what I wanted.

Used on a 7" tablet in difficult waters around menai straights. Gives great confidence with quick updating and accuracy. Super price for what you get.

M70%
by M####:

I used this app for a year now on the east coast, it has never let me down very accurate, very good for the price, highly recommended!!!

M70%
by M####:

Only thing that will let you down will be the battery life in your tablet.

Why does this upgrade say that I have no charts on phone galaxy s3 and wants me to purchase new charts then reports an error

Nothing works after the update, well done. I spent a lot of money on chart packages and now there all gone, brilliant NOT

M70%

I've been using GPS Nautical Charts for 3 years now. What I liked most about it were the digitised Admiralty charts. With regular chart updates, this gave the app a sense of authority and reliability. It also represented great value for money, even though it was a bit clunky to use at times. The new overlay has transformed the app completely. It retains the colour scheme of the paper charts, which gives it a familiar look. New levels of detail have been added too. I particularly like the inclusion of sea floor type. Great for wild anchoring! The developer is currently working on even more detail and new, exciting features are coming soon. Will post again after this update!

Tablet automatically downloaded update so had to download new charts.these seem to be working flawless so far.much better than old version.

App now charges for maps. It is difficult to see what the justification is for charging for the app when they're also charging for the content as well. Pick one business model. To add insult to injury the in-app purchases do not work making this app completely unusable now. I could have swallowed the change (grudgingly) if the in-app purchases worked, as the app would at least be usable. But as it stands I feel like the developers have taken 20 quid out of my pocket and left me with nothing in return.

I've tried lots of other similar apps and this one is the best, it works great for me sailing the east coast of England, I would love to have a pc version for passage planning etc then just upload routes etc to phone/tablet.

V70%
by V####:

Excellent marine chart app, start record at beginning of journey and stop at end.

R70%

I've used this a number of times on the boat and it works well. I'm using a Note 2.

U70%

I have been using this app for three years now. In that time I have sailed out of Conwy to Ireland, the Isle of Man, Whitehaven and all around Anglesey. The charts are great and have helped me to plan my trips in detail. Would be 5 stars if it had tides and currents to save me opening other apps.

U70%
by U####:

Brilliant - 3 years on! App uses original Admiralty Charts, so has by far the best detail available of those I checked (which was them all). Can vouch for high quality GPS functionality and features while afloat. Great range of charts with interconnectedness too.

U70%
by U####:

How do l get this to work? I dont seem to be able to show any charts

U70%
by U####:

A pop up key of chart symbols would work wonders for this app.

I70%
by I####:

I use this on a dedicated smart phone for sailing and kayaking. I still carry paper charts but this app makes life easy and quick

V70%

Sea maps are easy to use, and good to find your way round the coast of the UK.

Marine navigation. A great app really like using it. Could do with better instructions

If you sail in Poole Harbour, you will notice the lack of detail at certain zoom levels where the app will prioritise a larger scale chart over a much more detailed smaller scale chart, then after zooming further a sudden jump to full detail at a magnification that makes everything pixelated and only shows a few dozen actual square meters of the chart, useless. Developer advised in May, nothing changed to date. Update October 2014: sailing season over but nothing from the developer. Will not be renewing.

Best marine app yet and getting even better with updates, keep up the good work.

I have a Drascombe Lugger dayboat with no electrics on board. I downloaded this app on Tuesday and checked it out at Portsmouth Naval Base on Wednesday, it does all I want it to do, however watch out I upgraded my HTC ONE S to Android 4.0.4 on Thursday and the app stopped working. Give them their due I contacted GPS Nautical and they have responded well asking me to confirm exactly what has happened. I hope it gets sorted as my first impressions are, this is a very good app for a small boat sailor. Update 15/10/2012 GPS Nautical came back to me and asked me to check various software updates. Quickly they found the issue with the HTC phones and sent me a test upgrade, problem fixed, excellent, many thanks GPS Nautical for taking my issue seriously.
