Here's the deal, the app is fine, can stream to chromecast, and watch current shows. Whats not acceptable is having all the commercials' volume going up 50%. This is not permitted for TV broadcasting and streaming should be held to the same standard. I would rather they kept daily show and @midnight on Hulu, but I will put up with commercials if need be, but I shouldn't have to mute my TV everytime they come up.

It used to be usable if somewhat flaky app for watching CC shows since hulu doesn't have them anymore, but now it won't cast at all. Or at least not without an amusingly wide array of issues that make it not worth bothering to try. On the plus side i can free up space by uninstalling it if i need to. I'll give it at least a week to see if it starts functioning again.

Did you ever think that maybe people get streaming apps because they don't want to pay over $50 for cable? I liked the Jim Jefferies Show, then you locked the episodes. I would put up with the blaringly loud commercials to be able to watch more shows. I guess you care more about pleasing the cable gods than providing good content for your fans.

Very decent corporate application, i.e., not smooth, but free. Chromecast integration: C minus for more required TV subscription on Android than iOS, needs frequent user intervention on both platforms. Best way to see CC content even with some very long ad breaks.

Mayyyynnnnnneeeee I have yet to truly allow this app to make me a couch potato. Or is it the couch making me the potato not the app? So many brilliant and incredible shows actors and talent on here, and I wish I had more time to give each one, creator, and person the time their hard work truly deserves. Keep changing the world, and keep laughing.

Terrible when used with chromecast. Frequent crashes. Does not auto play the next episode & often fails to play next episode when manually selected. Works well when not trying to cast. Please improve, or put your content back on hulu. At this point you have lost a loyal viewer for the last 2 decades by failing to adapt to cord cutting. I would gladly pay for the content directly from Viacom - no need to involve a cable company in this transaction.

App constantly dumps advertisement stream with an error at the exact same poiny when trying to cast. Cannot get past this to play shows. Also, cannot see more than 3 most recent episodes. Too many advertisements when the app used to work.

This is BS that more, and more companies are leaving Hulu (that people pay for), and then making their own app for their shows. You're wasting peoples' $$, Ntm, not everyone has a large enough storage space for all these apps. Therefore dropping viewers... This is a bad move viacom... You FAIL!!!

Almost never works, takes 15 minutes just to sign in through my tv provider, and the Chromecast button is almost never available. Have to force close the app and reset my router every time I want to watch a comedy central show.

I. Don't. Have. A. Cable. TV. Provider. I have Netflix and Hulu and a WiFi connection. Wanna know what I can watch with that? Not comedy central that's for ding dong sure. I saw this app came with commercials and thought "great! That's how they make their money and I don't have to pay for cable!" WRONG. F.u. comedy central for this b.s. app. F.u. for taking Trevor Noah off Hulu.

Kudos to Comedy Central for making The Daily Show and @midnight available for cable cutters via the app after the Viacom pullout. Dropped one star for commercial break length. I've been spoiled by Hulu.

Used to just be a minor problem to sign in. Now I can't sign in at all. Yes I have full wi-fi and 4G. Verizon FiOS actually says success I signed on but your app returns an error message. I used to watch many shows on here.

When this app works, it's fine. But since CC pulled The Daily Show and @midnight off of Hulu, I have yet to have success getting the app to actually cast to my chromecast. It connects, but glitches when loafing any episode of anything. This app is garbage. I love Comedy Central shows, and am jusy super bummed that their ratings are probsbly going to drop due to the poor planning of this switch to such an unstsble platform. I wish that this would be resolved, but after weeks of problems I'm deleting the app. Too bad.

I thought HBO GO was bad, but this might be the most bugged out, freeze prone casting app I've ever used. Maybe they'll fix it soon, but for now just find your favorite CC shows elsewhere.

I love CC and all the free shows...but this app sucks. It constantly disconnects, fails, and or won't load. 8 out of 10 times that i try to enter the app, it just kicks me out and shuts down. If it worked, this would be one of my favorite apps.

Evidently the techs at Comedy Central decided to stop joking around and have fixed this app. It has been playing great lately. By the way, the only reason I have this app is for South Park. Do you understand Amy? You are nothing compared to South Park.

" oh no. We seem to be having technical difficulties. Please try again later." -every show I try to watch... Viacom is greedy, so they force people to use their own broken app instead of Hulu, which worked great. Now they will lose more money, since viewers are going to just stop watching Comedy Central all together. Bad choice Viacom. You fail.

EDIT: The minute I give in and rate it, it won't cast. Will change rating back when service is up. Was super disappointed I couldn't cast the daily show on Hulu anymore but the cc app is awesome. Thank you!

This app is a mess. I got it because my favorite shows are not on hulu anymore. Commercials are way too loud and the first daily show episode I saw was all mixed up. Next show I saw just stopped. App needs more work.

Constant crashes, terrible connectivity and even worse buffering causing playback errors than any other media app I've ever had. Deleted and definitely will not be downloading again.

Can't view anything without a cable provider. Was excited to watch some of my favorite shows after I got a Chromecast but can't since I don't have cable. One day these companies will wake up and realize the world has changed but today is not that day.

Comedy Central is bringing it. Every time I've ever had any problem and I contacted the developers they answered me incredibly fast. It's probably better customer service than most things I pay for. Extended uncut unedited editions are online actually I don't know why Comedy Central doesn't promote the app even more than their syndicated Network. The interviews of Trevor Noah, the opinions of Jim Jefferies, the late great at midnight, and all of the other show's especially another period, Comedy Central presents: worthy of your time. Thank you very much for making my life very happy since you're Inception. this application is the Fulfillment of my giggle wish dreams. You make sense of the crazy and you make life better. Stand up stops suicide for sure.

I love comedy Central , but please fire your ad server. You can torture us with ads ...that's acceptable, but to have to sit through ads that sputter, and stall, and just cosistantly waste my time, while I wait and wait and wait for the next part of a great CC show to return from ad hell. Geeze people, I am just ready to give up on watching CC all together! fix It! Please!

I enjoy watching "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" and "@midnight". And I watched them religiously when they were available on Hulu. I am trying to make the adjustment, but finding the app to be less stable and have had some difficulty in streaming. Hopefully this will improve soon.

Love comedy central shows. App is a piece of crap because Advertising always runs at a level far above the program, AND THEY GET PROGRESSIVELY LOUDER AT EACH BREAK. Shouldn't be legal

Each commercial is much louder than any show. Volume level of shows and commercials should be normalized. The Trojan Condom commercial used to be the loudest of all. It also played more frequently than the rest. Now it's barely audible. So I'm sure it can be done. Commercials are already a nuisance. Having to lower volume each time just adds to that. Comedy Central has been a favorite channel of mine since it started. Now I tend to watch other network apps because of this. **xxx 2 stars until this is fixed.

Full episodes require a cable connection. I'm uninstalling. What's the point? I'm using apps so I don't have to pay for a ridiculously overpriced cable bill. I would be willing to pay a monthly charge to watch it, but for now I can get the same thing on YouTube.

Ads play at double the volume as your content does, which is startling and not a good user experience. Resuming stopped content (after panicking to turn the volume down on an ad and inadvertently exiting the stream) is also wonky.

Basically useless due to lack of function. I can't sign in to xfinity, get an error if I try to set up an account and it doesn't work at all on Fire TV.

While Hulu was a much better interface with much less glitching, the app works alright. My only issue is that the commercials are SO MUCH LOUDER than the content. It's almost nostalgic with that good old fashioned 'better leave the room when commercials come on or blow out your ears', flavor of cable TV. It's terrible and prevents me from bothering with more than the one show I can't see anywhere else.

Good app, but limited number of episodes. Should have left seasons on Netflix if you're not going to have them available on the app. Easier to torrent south park, so kind of an error there....

*4/25/17 CANT USE APP AT ALL! Stuck on start screen that says "you must be in an internet dead zone!" I AM NOT. I have full, FAST internet & WiFi! Zero devices competing for my bandwidth. Just finished watching movie on Netflix, then vids on YouTube. BUT I CAN'T ACCESS *ANYTHING ON COMEDY CENTRAL! Can't get past that start screen that says I have no Internet connection. COMPLETELY UNUSABLE NOW! Did I mention I f**king hate being forced to use this P.O.S. app since Hulu dropped Daily Show and @midnight? Since app is stuck on error screen, I can't give feedback via app. Emailed help 2 days ago, no response yet. UNINSTALLED.

Skips and buffers more than any other app I've tried. Constantly shifting from SD to HD and freezing or skipping. 50Mbps should be enough. Updated 4/5/17: Tried the app again. Now when you cast, there's some comedy Central advertisement overlay casted to the screen that doesn't close when you play a video on your cast device. The video is playing in the background, giving you audio only.

Takes forever to load app and sometimes I have to try multiple times. The actual videos play fine, but when the commercials start it suddenly slows way down, so 2 minutes of commercials become 5, or crashes. If they fix these kinks it would be 5 stars, but too frustrating otherwise. Also, being able to rewind or fast forward would be nice

Well it goes to Chromecast and it shows daily show and @midnight, so I'm kinda stuck using it. Only real complaint is it burns battery life unlike Hulu and the streaming is not as smooth.

Update 03/09/2017 - Seriously? Did you completely remove Chromecast support or what? I reinstalled both the app & my phone, and still no option to cast. STILL an issue as of 2 months later (04/21).

They don't accept my "tv provider". So I'm unable to use any app or online features! BUT "COMEDY CENTRAL" IS STILL GETTING MY MONEY! "Paid" by a "tv provider" that it's paying customers are not treated the same as other "tv providers" customers! ?? "DISCRIMINATION" ?? ?? "RIPPED OFF" ??

The Ads on my Android TV app seems to never play correctly and is bad enough that I have to use it anyways. Since the removal from Hulu has forced me to watch HERE. Fix the app or go back to the much better service.

Horrible audio balance issues. Same show, different episodes, will have drastically different audio leveling. Commercials are outrageously loud compared to episodes of various shows.

Don't have to be home to catch up on my favorite shows. And when I am, w/ the s7 edge I can take Comedy Central into the shower. Woohoo!
