VTech Kid Connect (GB English)

Trying for hours to get my daughters digigo kid connected with her school chum as a friend Neither added friend or added family can be seen on digigo but can be seen on parents smartphone app. So a parent of one child is able to text the child of another parent but not child to child??? Child safety issue in my book. Also noticed increased spam in my spambox since registering. Better to have bought her a homing pigeon than this. Whilst this is for rating the app both app and digigo are pathetic.

Terrible that Vtech think this is suitable for release. It constantly freezes, fails or takes ages to connect. Why do we have to keep login in, it should do it automatically. My daughter has the phone for messaging but the software is so poor it makes it hard to use. This is very lazy software development by vetch and they should be ashamed releasing it (and selling it as part of their products of course)

Easily the worst written application I've had the misfortune of using. My son excitedly sends me messages and around half make it through. The app crashes on my Galaxy S7 continuously and seems to deplete the battery disproportionately when it is running. It seems to use its own implementation of the camera rather than the phone's own camera? There is literally nothing good about this app.

What is going on with this App? Seriously over complicated. No where near quick enough. Send friend requests that never reach recipient. Totally overpriced Digigo that is pretty useless because this App was released way before field tests were completed!!

This app is awful. Keeps crashing. My oldest daughter has this and keeps sending message I do not get. My middle daughter wants it but I am refusing to waste money on another one. I will be contacting vtech.

It's such a good thing but it just doesn't work. My son was so excited to send me msgs but the app just crashes every single time or its taking forever to login!

Read reviews for this App after buying the DigiGo. So far the App has been intermittant. For the DigoGo, the Kid Connect loads up, slow but able to send messages. However on the phone App its just sat logging in. I have wifi etc and have cleared phone but it still doing it. My daughter doesnt seem to notice a problem at the mo so lets see how it goes.

App is totally rubbish. Get a message freezes my phone. Thought after buying a brand new one it would be a different story. 2 messages down phone goes black and freezes! Sort it out vtech been over a year now!!!

I did manage to log in but now it tells me that I have to update the latest version in the playstore. That's all well and good but I already have the latest update. Now it's pointless and doesn't work. Got no faith in this company anymore and won't be wasting my money on their toys anymore.

Absolutely dog s**t I'm appalled by this. Not only did it cost a lot for what it is its shockingly poo. I've seen faster snails. Half of the messages don't come through and I have to force close the app and go back in it to refresh it or send a message to my child. The games freeze the camera is as good as one one the first ever camera phone! And I stupidly got three. Don't bother folks I'm sure there's better things out there

Why are you still promoting this app when it clearly doesn't work? I returned a digigo last Christmas as it was pretty much useless and now have an innotab max and surprisingly a year on the app still doesn't work! Can't even get past accepting the terms and conditions?!

Really fed up with the messages not getting through. With the combination of how slow the tablet is I don't know why it hasn't been thrown out the window

This app isn't the best but my daughter can message me which she loves and also her auntie abit upset that we have to buy a lot of products from the learning lodge, my daughter loves this digigo she loves all the other areas of this not unhappy I brought it just how its sold not that honest

Probably the worst app I have ever used. It worked pretty well until VTECH were hacked in 2015, I don't know what they have done to it. It freezes constantly and then locks my phone up it may or may not deliver the messages. I keep getting notifications that I have a new message but when I look there is nothing there. Come on VTECH you are quite happy to take our money for the tablets but you obviously put very little into the development of this app. I rely on this app to stay in contact with my young son when I am working overseas. Please make it better!

Seriously, was this app written by one of the children the vtec tablet is aimed at? It fails to start most of the time, it is very slow, unintuitive and is not something I would expect from a company like vtec. Sort it out.

No exit function out of app and intermittently says connection failed when trying to send my son a message....

My son got digigo for xmas and so far it's rubbish! Keeps disconnecting from wifi and constantly have to re - input password. Painfully slow to do anything, my 5 yr old is getting bored waiting minutes for a game to load up. The parent app keeps crashing my phone. Terrible!!

The digigo is rubbish we returned it the app didnt work and it kept losing conection with the wi fi got the immotab max instread more expensive but the app is working ok so far i put our stars because it wirking fine on the tablet we have now

My daughter wanted me to download so that she can message whilst with her Daddy. Unfortunately I can't even open the app!!! It crashes before even loading.... really not great considering how big Vtech is as a market and the audience it claims to be for. Disappointed little girl.

app won't even open .. terrible app from v tech again I see no one from the company has replied .. I mailed them about this issue and was told the had passed the issue to its office in JAPAN !!

Considering vtech is one of the leading manufacturers in childrens technology I don't understand how they are getting away with selling products reliant on software and apps that are completely and utterly diabolicaly useless. Disgusting

This app is useless. Constantly crashes fails to load and message notification comes through but no message. Shame that Vtech are ignoring all of the negative feedback.

It's hard to put into words how terrible this app is. It's a great idea, just so poorly executed it's untrue! Only works 1 in 100 times; constantly freezes and crashes and either doesn't send OR says sent but the other device never receives it.

I can't even get past the registration code so my child can't even use their digigo to message or call me. I put in my email, set a password, put the code in when it tells me & all I get is 'please verify information...' I haven't received an email to verify any information. I'm so frustrated with installing & uninstalling the app in the hope I can finally register & be able to send my child messages. Sort it out Vtech!

You've killed my PC...or at least put it in some sort of coma. Come on vtech all the things you come up with, can you not get an IT team to make things work

Terrible performance from this app. Keeps hanging whenever I use the app but especially when I use text messaging or voice messaging to my child's digiGo

This app is useless I've tried reinstalling it 3 times now and keeps crashing I only see my lad 1 day a week thought I could of been in touch with him every day BUT NOOOOOOO big disappointment sort it out

This app is extremely poor. In the event that you can get it to download, it is badly written and constantly crashes. Another overpriced and very disappointing product from Vtech :(

Crashes all the time and fails on every level. Slow to send messages. Very disappointing for a company of vtechs size to produce such a rubbish app. Sort it out. It has certainly made me think twice about buying future product.

The app constantly crashes on my Samsung s6. Plus about 50% of messages that I send to my son do not come through. He is so upset as was really looking forward to being able to message me when I'm at work and now he is frustrated and asking why did Santa bring him a broken toy! We could all do with some sort of compensation from Vtech!

App is so poor, crashes before it opens, then have to force close it. Digigo doesn't send friend requests. Child and parents seriously disappointed with this product. Trading standards need to be contacted as it's certainly not fit for the purpose it was sold for!

Bought daughter and son phones and it's been nothing short of a nightmare.

Awful, awful app! In addition, notifications appear on the phone that a message has been received BUT low and behold, it's not on the app. HELLOOO VTECH!! Want to respond to your customers perhaps??

One star is too much. The app is dreadfull and will not open after hours sorting it out. The digigo device is equally as bad and will be returned to shop.

Very very disappointed, only bought the phone so my son could keep in contact with me when I was working long days as he was missing me. I thought this would be nice for him to be able to contact me. An absolute waste of money and a very disappointed little boy. I'm sorry I didn't read the reviews before purchasing it.
