خلق الله تعالى أيّام الأسبوع كلّها، وفرض علينا العبادة في كلّ يومٍ فيها، ولكن أفضل الأيّام عنده هو يوم الجمعة، وهو خير الأيّام؛ لأنه تعالى خلق آدم، وأدخله الجنّة وأخرجه منها في هذا اليوم، وتعني الجمعة عند الله سبحانه وتعالى اجتماع الجماعة، وهذا ما يحبّه الله للمسلمين، وهو أن يكونوا دائماً جماعةً متوادّين متحابّين متراحمين، وجعل الله في الجمعة ساعةً يستجاب فيها إلى دعاء المسلمين؛ فيلبّي فيها حاجاتهم. فيعتبر هذا اليوم من أفضل الأيّام في مضاعفة الأجور للأعمال والعبادات. عدّ الله سبحانه وتعالى هذا اليوم عيداً للمسلمين؛ حيث يأتي في نهاية أسبوعٍ من العمل والتّعب، و قد أخبرنا الرسول-صلى الله عليه و سلم- بأحاديث كثيرةً أنّ من يموت يوم الجمعة تكون خاتمته حسنة، وينجّى من عذاب القبر. وعلّمنا الرسول -صلّى الله عليه و سلم - أنّ قراءة سورة الكهف يوم الجمعة هي نورٌ يضيء للمسلم حياته ويجنّبه فتنة الدجّال، وهناك الكثير من الفضائل الّتي تعود على المسلم في هذا اليوم.
