With CalcTape you keep an overview, can check all figures and correct figures instantly inplace with
all subsequent results being adjusted automatically ! Missed a figure ? No problem: Just insert
it in the right place easily by entering a new line.
You can place the cursor everywhere you like in the calculation: It's like a note where
you can change anything you like in any place with the advantage, that changing numbers
or operators updates your calculation immediately!
CalcTape can be considered an "Excel Lite with a calculator interface".
You can also keep the calculation for your records (documents) and create templates:
Replacing the figures in your template and getting the correct results is a breeze.
Commenting figures and results gives sense to your calculations, so you can understand
what you did when viewing the calculation a month later.
Customize CalcTape to your needs and place only those buttons on your keypad that you really
need everyday. Create your own functions to e.g. add a specific percent rate with a tap on
a single button.
CalcTape comes as a basic free version and offers a Pro update.
The Pro version brings:
- Save your calculations into files
- Create own functions or text snippets to be entered when pressing a button (long press a button to enter the Button screen)
- Create own keypad layouts (change assignment of all buttons except numbers and backspace / change button sizes)
- Select between different keypad layouts (the "function keypad" contains no numbers and is nearly completely customizable)

I thought calc+smart was the best but this is what I wanted. So easy to manage the calculations with text about the calculation. No annoying ads. Paid version is more useful since it can save all to a document.

I use this app alot for calculations and reviewing, but quite inconvenient when the keypad pops up thus covering most of the tape. That defeats the purpose. I would prefer to manually activate the keypad when i need to edit the contents. The buttons above the keypad can be use to do that. Please consider....

You Seriously don't see the issue with the number pad? LANDSCAPE mode is not correct. Standard keyboard pops up, should be YOUR number pad AND be side by side with paper tape NOT ALL Stretched AND COVERING ALL BUT A SLIVER OF PAPER TAPE! Your own promo pics show this issue plainly! There are 3 types of rounding not present; 5/9ths, lowest, highest. US users different thousands separators! Deactivating the thousands separators don't fix that. Also missing: 00 and 000 keys from layout!?

I'm an ex bookkeeper. Using a regular calculator just isn't in the cards for me. I would like to save the notes and a calculation but haven't been able to figure that out yet. Could just be me though.

I did update of the app ,but now problem started , phone keyboard and app number key board occupy entire space not able to see workspaces , negative rating must be given to this app

What this needs is multiple tabs to do separate calculations and easily swipe back and forth between them. Ex: Christmas spending list for 4 people. Down side...$3.28 for the pro version? There are better apps for less.

Great, simply done app that's very flexible. Easily check your figures, and change them on the fly. Select all and copy the whole history into an email. One point of improvement. Mixed operations with multiplication and addition food mathematical ordering rules, not linear like the ticker tape view would suggest. Something clever on that would be great.

Well, this calculator is almost perfect. It's interface is the best I've seen in the Android market. It would have been perfect if it brought parenthesis and scientific functions. Buying the pro is well worth it.

The app is awesome it coverts in part very important in your daily work BUT IT HASNT HOW TO MAKE A BACKUP INTO GOOGLE DRIVE...if the app converts in a very important thing , imagine if you phone crashs or stop to work .....nobody will get back to you that information that is very important to you...even if you paid for pro version

I found that if i took of i swip and it works perfect

I initially thought I could not use the free version because the app's keyboard was covered by the Samsung S4 Keyboard. The developer pointed out the setting in this app to avoid this. Perhaps a warning about this would help. I was so impressed I bought the app. Great stuff! I am also using the free version for Windows PC.
