About Kinder - Find Baby Names
The Japanese proverb says “Tigers die and leave their skins; people die and leave their names”. It indicates how important it is to give your child a proper name.
Kinder is designed to help you and your partner find that name, the name that fits your baby but also the man or woman they grow out to be.
With Kinder we have created an app in which you can quickly flick through name suggestions either liking or dismissing them. Your likes are than matched to the likes of your partner and by both looking for names you'll end up with a shortlist of names you both like.
Kinder is free to use and we aim to keep it advertising free. You can however buy additional name lists. We have over 18.000 names in our library with a grand variety in origins so you can find that unique name that your child will write history with!

I love the idea of the app especially since the two of us originally met on Tinder! Unfortunately, the app repeats names too often or has too many variations of the same name with different spelling. Also, for some reason, I have never seen a match on my end. On my phone, it only shows one matched name. On his phone, we see a different list. Not even sure if all our matches are really being captured. I like the Liked and Disliked list option for reviewing my previous selections. The app could also use phonetic pronunciations of names to help. With some names, I am sure I am mispronoucing it and might like them if I actually knew how they were pronounced. I'd also like to know the origin of the name.

It is a decent app. It would be way better if it did not repeat names that I have already disliked. Not going to change my mind by seeing it more frequently.

Names are too weird. Should be able to filter by top 500 and not pay for it

Great Idea! Unfortunate names (identical in spelling) are repeated before you've even gone through the full list. Great idea, but if my husband and I chose by name, not spelling, so we'd have virtually no matches. I like that it shows the name choice with your last name. Great that it filters into likes & dislikes lists you can look at.
