Scegliere un libro per ragazzi

La Lettera a Livio è la descrizione quasi filmica di un laboratorio di lettura condotto dal Prof. Livio Sossi presso la Direzione Didattica di Potenza Terzo circolo. È a tutti noto che presso le scuole, generalmente, si svolgono numerosi corsi di aggiornamento, della cui efficacia, non sempre, si rimane soddisfatti. Quella volta a colpirci fu la modalità con cui il corso si svolse. Ricordo che, nella sala-convegni, erano stati predisposti alcuni tavoli sui quali il prof. Sossi sistemava, con cura e pazienza certosina, i libri che tirava fuori dallo zaino da autostoppista. Quando fu tutto pronto, arrivarono gli alunni. Dopo poche parole di presentazione e un vivace dibattito stimolato dalle domande: “Perché si scrive? Perché si legge?”, cominciò la lettura di alcuni brani tratti da vari libri. Eravamo tutti immersi in una atmosfera quasi irreale. Eravamo seduti uno accanto all’altro, ma, in realtà, eravamo soli.
L’espressione Biblioteca di Livio nacque nel laboratorio successivo svolto con i genitori degli alunni. Al termine dell’incontro quasi tutti chiesero titoli di libri da far leggere ai propri figli.
A distanza di un po’ di tempo siamo in grado di presentare un catalogo ragionato della Biblioteca di Livio composta da 663 titoli, scritti da 580 autori, illustrati da 275 disegnatori, pubblicati da 118 case editrici, con 129 indicatori tematici per scegliere il libro che piace a seconda anche della fascia di età del lettore. Nel catalogo ci sono autori classici e autori moderni, autori conosciuti e autori meno noti. Molti mancano. Molto, perciò, contiamo sui suggerimenti che potranno venire.
Il giorno 7 dicembre 2012 a Calvello, piccolo comune della Basilicata, a circa 45 Km a sud di Potenza, è stata inaugurata la prima “biblioteca di Livio” composta da circa 600 dei volumi citati nel catalogo. The expression library Livio was born in the laboratory next played with parents of pupils. At the end of almost all asked titles of books to read to their children.
After a bit 'of time we are able to present an annotated catalog of the Library of Livio composed of 663 titles, written by 580 authors, illustrated by 275 designers, published by 118 publishers, with 129 thematic indicators to choose the book like also depending on the age of the reader.
