Cette année, la Société Marocaine d’Arthroscopie (SMA) a l’honneur d’être la société invitée au congrès de la SFA à Marseille du 6 au 9 décembre 2017.
Notre jeune société, société fille de la Société Marocaine de Chirurgie Orthopédique et Traumatologique (SMACOT) a été créée en 2006 et a pour objectif de contribuer au développement de la chirurgie arthroscopique et de la chirurgie du sport au Maroc. Depuis 2007, nos différents bureaux et nos présidents successifs A. Largab, Feu A. Sadiq, MS. Berrada, M. Arssi et R. Haddoun ont assuré l’organisation d’un congrès annuel de la SMA dans différentes villes du Royaume.
La Société Française d’Arthroscopie aujourd’hui Société Francophone d’Arthroscopie (SFA) a toujours été présente à nos congrès depuis le premier congrès à Marrakech.
Son exemple nous a guidé dans la progression de l’arthroscopie au Maroc. Les éminents conférenciers de la SFA nous ont toujours apporté les nouvelles techniques et les astuces importantes en arthroscopie. En plus de nous rapprocher, cette importante coopération nous a permis de profiter de la grande expérience de nos confrères français dans l’organisation du Diplôme Universitaire d’Arthroscopie. Ce diplôme d’arthroscopie marocain a été inscrit aux Facultés de Médecine et de Pharmacie de Rabat et de Casablanca par les directeurs MS Berrada, A. Largab et M. Arssi. Le succès de cette formation n’est plus à démontrer avec quatre promotions et 87 chirurgiens diplômés.
Ces importants échanges ont permis aux orthopédistes marocains qui dans leur grande majorité n’avaient pas été formés à l’arthroscopie à exiger une colonne d’arthroscopie dans les différents hôpitaux et cliniques. L’équipement se fait lentement, la reconnaissance par l’Etat de ce nouvel outil est difficile, notamment la reconnaissance du coût des interventions et des dispositifs médicaux. Ce qui est rassurant c’est que ce sont les patients qui sont demandeurs de techniques sous arthroscopie.
Cette année, la SFA et son bureau, à travers N. Graveleau son président et A. Sbihi le président du congrès de Marseille, se sont impliqués pour nous permettre d’avoir une importante présence scientifique au congrès, mais également nous a octroyé les conditions économiques pour être très nombreux.
Les orthopédistes marocains se rendent toujours au congrès de la SFA mais en petit nombre. Nous voulons que le plus grand nombre puisse découvrir ce congrès de très haut niveau scientifique.
C’est pourquoi, nous voulons répondre présent et honorer notre invitation. La SMACOT à travers son président B. Chagar et son Bureau ont décidé d’organiser les journées d’automne de la SMACOT à Marseille pour rehausser la présence marocaine au congrès de la SFA. Leur appui logistique et financier a été déterminant. Nous avons travaillé ensemble pour la préparation d’un programme scientifique et d’un voyage organisé pour faciliter la présence du plus grand nombre.
Le Bureau de la SMA remercie toutes les personnes qui se sont impliquées dans importante organisation : les bureaux de la SMACOT et de la SMA qui ont travaillé dans la préparation de cette manifestation ; et les conférenciers et les orateurs qui ont proposés et défendus leurs travaux. Nous n’oublions pas les sociétés de matériel et les laboratoires pharmaceutiques qui nous ont toujours appuyer dans nos actions.
Nous remercions les membres de la SMA déjà pré-inscrits. Nous espérons que le plus grand nombre d’arthroscopistes marocains sera à Marseille.

Our young company, daughter company of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Moroccan Society (SMACOT) was established in 2006 and aims to contribute to the development of arthroscopic surgery and surgery sport in Morocco. Since 2007, our offices and our successive presidents A. Largab, Fire A. Sadiq, MS. Berrada, M. and R. Arssi Haddoun assured the organization of an annual conference of SMA in different cities of the Kingdom.
The French Society of Arthroscopy today French Society of Arthroscopy (SFA) has always been present in our congresses since the first Congress in Marrakech.
His example has guided us in the progression of arthroscopy in Morocco. The eminent speakers of the SFA have always brought new techniques and important tips in arthroscopy. In addition to bringing us this important cooperation has enabled us to enjoy the experience of our French colleagues in the organization of the University Diploma in Arthroscopy. This Moroccan arthroscopy diploma was registered for Medicine and Pharmacy Faculties of Rabat and Casablanca by directors MS Berrada, A. and M. Largab Arssi. The success of this training is well established with four promotions and 87 graduates surgeons.
These important exchanges have enabled Moroccan orthopedic that the vast majority had not been trained in arthroscopy to require arthroscopic column in different hospitals and clinics. The equipment is slow, the state recognition of this new tool is difficult, including recognition of the cost of interventions and medical devices. What is reassuring is that it is the patients who are techniques seekers arthroscopically.
This year, the SFA and his office, through its president N. Graveleau and A. Sbihi President of the Congress of Marseilles, were involved for us to have a significant presence at scientific conferences, but also granted us the conditions economical for many.
Moroccan orthopedic always make the congress of the SFA but in small numbers. We want as many may find this conference very high scientific level.
That is why we want to answer this and honor our invitation. The SMACOT through its President B. Shagar and its Bureau decided to organize the autumn days of SMACOT Marseille to enhance the Moroccan presence in the congress of the SFA. Their logistical and financial support has been crucial. We worked together for the preparation of a scientific program and a trip to facilitate the presence of the greatest number.
The Office of the ADM thanks all those who are involved in important organization: the offices of SMACOT and SMA who worked in the preparation of this event; and speakers and the speakers who proposed and defended their work. We do not forget the hardware companies and pharmaceutical companies who always support us in our actions.
We thank the members of the SMA already pre-registered. We hope that as many Moroccan arthroscopistes will be in Marseille.
