Pocket Plays for Twitch

I gave this app 3 stars because it is very visually pleasing. However I can not leave the app or stream and have the video or audio keep playing. On the official twitch app a mini player pops out. I wish they would copy ios's version of twitch and have it play sound even when the screen is locked. I watch at work and sometimes just like to listen with my phone in the pocket. But not be forced to go audio only. Oh well. Good app other than that for me.

This app is really good, just a couple quick suggestions. The official Twitch app allows you to click a user's name in chat, and it brings up options like mention, PM, block, etc. This app desperately needs that functionality. Second is a screenshot shot button! I know I can Android has volume down and power for screenshots, but I take a lot watching twitch for UI comparing, decklists, etc. Overall great app and look forward to more releases!

This is the best unofficial Twitch app out there, hands down. I sometimes encounter an annoying bug in which I have the screen orientation locked to portrait mode and as I click a stream to start playing, if turn the display to landscape the stream video will play on top of the menus

Just because of the simple fact that I can force a quality setting while casting to a chromecast, you get 5 starts from me. Thank you so much. The official app doesn't do this..

Have 2 requests : 1) An option to order my followed streamers by last streamed. 2) A way to watch all the broadcasts of my streamers in chronological order. These are the only reasons I'm sticking to the official app. Love your UI though!

Doesn't have the function @(user), like when you want to pm a person with @ and then it automatically finds the name with the first letter like twitch originally does. Please fix it

Fantastic app, only thing missing is being able to send a message to another viewer in chat by using @ and having a list come up like in the official twitch.tv app. Also something that really triggers me is the white bar on the right side of the screen. It is impossible to get rid of.

The best app I've downloaded in a long time. It's just great in every way! Also I see the top review is you can't have it pop out and still play. If you select the gear box while watching q stream and say audio only then leave it will continue to play. Just weighed reason why it's a great app.

The best non official twitch app I've ever seen, however there is one key features that is missing , where hovering over a screen will play the stream in the window without sound, add this into the app and it will be the best twitch player I've ever seen.

- Working stream notifications - Working chat with twitch & BTTV emotes - Simplistic interface allowing easy navigation This is the three things I got this app for, and I'm loving it. Gonna continue using this for as long as it works.

Not good have to go back to Twitch app I get notifications that a stream is live but your app keeps telling me the stream has finished but when I go on Twitch app it's there playing. So to me this app is thumbs down!

There should be appointed out player and the stream should play at all time until I click an 'x' like in the twitch app other than that it's much better than the official one edit: why can't I also @ people and their name pops up, it's annoying because some viewers have crazy hard names to spell

Needs Google play services bloatware to run

Used twitch for a while. Gotta admit that this app is beautiful!

Single best app for Twitch. Complete with a nighttime friendly UI for maximum compatibility with my usage.

Lots of customisability and fixes to some of the things that I hate about the official Twitch application and the smooth UI. Simply amazing.

App was good until it stopped working, it always show that the stream was no longer available.

No source quality for VoDs? No amount of bugs on the official app could keep me away.

Doesn't look good on chromecast

Stream no longer available on every stream after a few seconds. WiFi and 4G

Near perfect, full costumization, immidiately connect to chat, I'll give it 5 if it has Vod viewer

I really like how you can have the chat open too in landscape mode

Came here from other great apps that support Chromecast (with source quality since official Twitch app won't do it) and love it. Looks like the first unofficial twitch app to fix whatever changes twitch made that broke quality settings. Kudos!

Great twitch app. Thumbs up to the dev for responding to my previous review. Able to select steam quality again, but streams will only play on "Auto" selection.

Extremely good app. Can watch vods that are still being broadcast

I would never watch streams on my phone when I used the official app but honestly this app alone is getting me back into watching on mobile. Looks pretty, works good. All I need.
