What are users saying about TrailLink - Trails & Maps

Looks like the last build broke the ability to purchase credits. I tried multiple times this weekend and link to google pay store crashed. Unfortunately because the app makes it easy to find trails around you when driving in unfamiliar states and you just want to find a trail to ride on.

C70%
by C####:

not all the trails on the website are on the app and I downloaded the app because some trails don't start near the place you park. In short I'm very upset and disappointed to the point where I am writing a review to warn people how unhelpful this app is.

L70%
by L####:

It won't let me log in, favorite anything, or even use the search function. It just tells me there's no search results found whenever I try to search for anything specific

A70%
by A####:

Took one star back, google play store keeps stopping when trying to get unlimited access to maps. EDIT: Gave all 5 stars again after realizing you can upgrade on their site.

O70%
by O####:

Can't purchase any credits,it crashes every time. Needs live GPS tracking on the trail maps to show the current position

C70%
by C####:

Worthless. It does not recognize my login credentials.

C70%
by C####:

No unlimited purchase. Ongoing subscription only unlimited option.

Z70%

Cash grab. The maps and such they want you to purchase is already available for free.

A reviewer in March 2017 noted that it force stops Google Play when you try to buy maps and/or credits toward maps. So after your 1 "free" map, you're stuck, unable to download any more maps. It's been 4 months. You'd think they'd have figured this out.

H70%

Haven't used it yet out on a trial. Have only used it so far to help aid my son in planning his last 2 hikes towards earning his hiking merit badge. Looks good though so far.

C70%
by C####:

My only grip is that there are more trails in cities that aren't accounted for. I know three public trails in Nashville alone that aren't available through the app.

Z70%

So far, so good. Just getting started with Trail Link.

Nice and functional app. If you trail a lot worth the $30 for the full app.

K70%

My all downloaded maps are gone after I changed to new smartphone. Now I have to buy those trail route again with Google credit. So what's the point to log in since this app can't keep purchase record.

C70%
by C####:

I think that if you download the Maps it should be included free seems that I should be able to find what I need. If I can't then theres no Point getting the app if it's not going to be handy much easyer getting a magazine at least it won't charge me extra for stuff.

V70%
by V####:

This needs to have a price listed upfront. This app is barely usable unless you fork over $$$. I looked at 1 map, for about a minute, then got a pop up to purchase the map. Everything I looked at for that minute was no longer visible, unless I paid for it. I get that trails to trails needs to raise money, but do it honestly. Don't use bait and switch tactics or false advertising. Very disappointing.

E70%
by E####:

For everyone whining about cost: 15 maps for 8 bucks is a bargain. Good luck trying to find paper maps in 2017. This is an excellent group that does important advocacy work. Don't like it? Take the bus. Oh, wait, that costs too.

C70%
by C####:

The app itself is decent. But I use Google play credit to buy maps that I use all the time. When I do that the app force stops Google play so I'm not able to buy the maps I use all the time. I've tried emailing and didn't get anywhere. Will rate better when the problem is fixed.

M70%
by M####:

With trail link I got quick results for the local rides around my area can't wait to start using it all the time

G70%
by G####:

Overall a nice app. In-app purchasing seems to be broken on Android 7.0.

Z70%
by Z####:

I really just wanted a simple map of the local trail. Was willing to donate and download my free map. The rest of the trails in the known universe? No thanks. I've got the map I need now and am not likely to pay an annual fee.

Q70%
by Q####:

I didn't know this app existed. Now I'm a trail junky.

E70%
by E####:

Can get expensive, but first map is free

Q70%
by Q####:

Don't bother.

S70%
by S####:

I can't even get this to work.

A70%
by A####:

So far for planning Iime it. Will fill in more after the labor day weekend ride
