Sources (even the Lite version) is a deep program.
"Sources" is a fun and unique program for creating computer graphics images and animations. It allows you to combine simple geometric constructs (waves and repeating patterns) in various ways. Surprisingly complex (and often quite beautiful) things can emerge. (The background to the banner above was done with Sources.) It is deep, with countless possible permutations. It works on fairly modest phones and on large tablets.
Sources is not a drawing program - you do not manipulate pixels. Rather, you place and adjust "sources" - suppliers of repeating waveforms. You can turn on animation and watch the various parts move and interact. To get an idea of the range of things that Sources can do (so far!) have a look at the galleries on the web site. See also the montage of images above. 58 examples are built in to the App to give you inspiration and show how certain effects can be achieved. Some of these demonstrate features of SourcesPro and those parts will not be editable on SourcesLite.
Of course, animation adds a whole other dimension, and with SourcesPro you can even set your designs as live wallpapers, using the free SourcesWP market://details?id=uk.co.fordartworks.SourcesPlayer . SourcesWP requires Android 4.0+.
Please note that it is possible to create moving/flashing patterns with the App when you animate. If you are susceptible to epilepsy caused by flashing lights, see the warning which comes up before the App starts.
Lite Version:
- full basic functionality. (Pro version has a number of additional features, plus much higher quality output.)
- no waveform functions, which add a whole range of possibilities
- no image optimizations
- can't create the largest images or animation
- no limit controls on Sources
- can't create or edit live wallpapers for SourcesWP
- just 3 levels of undo/redo

Worth trying, even just to use the demos. Can you use as live wallpapers? S2 Yes, wallpapers would probably be too much to customise as well. Can you choose number of waves, if you want just a single circles etc? Thanks P.s. Hard to find in play store search?? Should be at top of list!

It's pretty unique and has a lot of options. I was playing with it for a while and probably only got half way through all of the options. It has some pretty cool effects but it takes a minute to get used to everything. It's really fun to play with

The only reason im taking away a star is because the directions weren't that clear, n im still trying to figure out how to work it and what does what.. Wish it explained it better for us blonds out there lol but other than that it's amazing what ive made already!

I commend the dev for all the work that went into this gorgeous app! I will be purchasing full version because i like apps that are thoughtful and different, that are creative, absorbing and artistic, AND that allow me to show off my creations. i am an artist who is muddling through the world of digital art and the tutorials have really helped me - not just with this app but with definitions for other graphic art apps and programs. i found the tutorials easy to pick up on and then taught myself more by experimenting. this app works surprisingly well on my old galaxy tab 10.1 - i will be trying it on my note 2 (i317) and my 7" galaxy tab. i bet it will work on my original note....thanks again for this extroidinary app!

Amazing but why time out Its VERY ANNOYING and there's no point of it its silly remove this in update please because the app is perfect and nothing is wrong but its just this problem that needs fixing . Very good app thumbs up:)

In the middle of play, it times out and tells you to wait 30 seconds to reopen or buy the full version. It seems to be a good app but I didn't have enough time to do hardly anything. I wouldn't buy the full version now just because of the "time out." Uninstalling.
