About Simple Climbing Log

Simple Climbing Log offers a no-fuss way to keep your climbing logbook on your mobile device. Now also supporting bouldering problems!

The simple, easy-to-use interface records each route you climb, keeping track of:
- the route name
- the date & time you climbed it
- the crag and wall names
- the grade (see below)
- the category (led / seconded / etc.)
- the length of climb
- your climbing partner(s)
- and any extra comments

A variety of grading systems are supported:
- British trad
- Ewbank
- Fontainebleau (bouldering)
- French numerical (British sport)
- "V" system (bouldering)
- Yosemite decimal

If you need to share or print your logbook, it can be exported into a spreadsheet.

It does need a few permissions:
Internet access: to support development with some unobtrusive ads.
Storage access: for exporting to spreadsheets, backing up and restoring from backups.
In app purchases: to allow you to remove ads if you wish.

Would love to see an import function :)

Love the option to export entire log book to excel. Theres some features that I think would be good to have are.... Grid Reference Location. The option to attach a photo. And finally being able to link multiple routes to one location.

It seems like there's a lot more this app could do - looking forward to future releases!

The app is evolving well. Steve has readily adapted it to meet the basic needs of climbers and guides. It will become even better with the addition of accumulated metres in future releases. It could be used for ACIA currency requirements in Australia, with the export function allowing a spreadsheet to be used for presentation and the possible addition of displayed meters climbed in the season.
