Asteroids is a game focused on the player's ability to avoid and shoot the asteroids and try to survive. In each level the difficulty is increased and it's needed to be even faster to stay alive.

The original Asteroids was a succesful game because of it's new gameplay concept and it's repetitive cicle of asteroids destruction.

The Asteroids 2 gets a higher level of difficulty due to the artificial inteligence of the enemy ships, which attempt to shoot the player, furthermore, each level the ship's precision is increased.
