It's actually more complex than it looks, but still loads of fun. A word of advice: be careful when it comes time to EXECUTE the laws; they must go to the right department or they won't happen. About the only complaint that I have is that, if you have to give the thumbs-down to a certain part of a bill, you HAVE to veto the bill in its entirety and wait for the revised bill to come back. It would be better if you could still sign the bill regardless. Still a great game.

I spent countless hours being the POTUS! Really fun and addictive. But, I really wish its longer and more complicated. The clock ticks too fast and its year 4 already. And how about the second term? Or maybe you guys should make a game about presidential candidates, election, campaign and all of that stuff. It will be a long game, but with your touch, I bet its going to be a hit.

Y70%
by Y####:

Great game, beautifully simply mechanics in an bright vivid graphics. Great fun for 2 hours. But lacked replay value. A lot of options repeated. Adding a money factor would be great. It's a bit like playing 'put this square block into this square hole'. Limited ability to play tactically. But fantastic work on delivery.

I absolutely LOVED this game. I have a few tips for constructivr criticism, you should be able to appoint your own secretarys (just to add a more real touch.), run in elections and go for a second term, the time should be greatly lengthened. There is just so much to this gam that the time needs to be stretched out. Overall though, I loved this game. I think with a few added features, this game could be perfect!

Y70%
by Y####:

Great concept and most of the gameplay is good. My biggest issue with the game is how some responses and issues are super unrealistic. For example, at the state of the union address regarding budget deficit, the choices of what you can say were something like "We should limit our spending," and "There isn't an issue. Let's talk about something else, seen any good movies?" Besides that, I think it's a fun little game.

Y70%
by Y####:

This game is really boring; they basically ask, "Is this a good idea or not?" The only challenge is choosing the correct department to delegate a law to. Maybe provide a spending budget that effects your reputation? Either way, I think that this game can be improved upon greatly and is a good beta version.

Y70%
by Y####:

I love the game, but its too easy and short. I'd love for it to be longer and and have different difficulties. You should start off running against people and get approval through promises on subjects. Then you should have to work on all problems, not just the one you picked. Also you should be able to run for a 2nd term. If you wanted to go more in depth then you should be able to play as another president and what your past president did effects situations for the current and so on

H70%
by H####:

Very fun game. Still, it can be improved. The policies and speech options need to be harder. You always choose between a policy/dialogue option that completely ridiculous and one that makes sense. Super easy. On the other hand, the war is not. I've done everything perfectly in the war aspect of the game and still not won. It seems like a glitch to me.

W70%
by W####:

It was fun at first, but to me it was so easy I thought I was still on the tutorial. The answers are blatantly obvious and I never felt challenged. Tried another game and it was pretty much the same thing even though it said it was more challenging. Man, if being the president is this easy, I think I should go for it.

U70%
by U####:

I really the game especially when the country goes to war. My suggestion to iCivics is that since we get strong approval and support from the Congress and the people, we should be able to get re-elected for a second term. I would really love it if iCivics would fix it like that ????????

Y70%
by Y####:

Too repetitive. I liked the concept and has a lot of potential. But the repetition is kinda boring in the long run. Thanks for the time though. Wasted my class hour on discrete mathematics earlier, should've just listened to my prof.

E70%
by E####:

I enjoyed this game. My only real complaints are that the time goes by too fast and that it has very little replay ability once you have played it a few times. I enjoyed my time being POTUS and this is a strangely addictive little game that makes you want to "just pass one more bill", but it is time to move on for me. Thanks devs. Good work.

Y70%
by Y####:

Too easy and simplified. The game quickly began to feel repetitive without offering anything new or an actually engaging challenge. The graphics and coding of the game itself are good, it just needs more actual gameplay and interesting stuff. Also, some of the departments for certain bills didn't quite make sense. Like the one titled "Internet Safety Courses" failed when I gave it to Education, and said it needed to go to... Homeland Security? What? lol. It said it was about teaching people how to make stronger passwords, simple stuff that while it does faintly involve "security", certainly not on the homeland scale, and makes more sense in that you're educating people on how to protect themselves.

F70%
by F####:

Its a ok game although it lacks depth. Your decisions don't actually affect anything. They are categorised in just bad or good there is no middle ground and its not that satisfying when everything u approve leads to nothing. The game would be way better if there would be some repercussions to your actions like having a set budget and having to prioritize different things

Y70%
by Y####:

I really don't like how each proposal is either good or bad. There is no grey area and you are either right or wrong based on how you align politically with the game developers. This game is super simple and I was hoping for something at an adult intelligence level

Y70%
by Y####:

Very disappointing. I get that a phone app like this isn't going to be very nuanced, but this was insulting easy. Even when facing a legitimate policy issue(taxing items that are bad for you and building bases all over the world) the game deducts points for 'wrong' choices.

P70%
by P####:

Great fun game. I did well but I did not have the lame stream media or a bunch of out of control Dems and Libs irrationally trying to cut me off at the knees at every turn. I support President Trump.

Y70%
by Y####:

This game is not really a great 'what if you were President' game. There are only right answers that raise or lower your approval rating. This game likes answers that increase government regulation, spending, and authoritarianism. You'd think that picking lower the deficit as your mission would give you more approval for shooting down bills that erroneously cost money

W70%
by W####:

Really awesome, but theres still room for more. You know, like multiple agendas, debates, and a second term in office. But, its really nice. Oh! What if you can choose your cabinet? Man, that would be wicked! Anyway, Executive Command is a masterpiece of politics. Good job, ICivics.

Y70%
by Y####:

I love this game but it's just too short! Why can't there be the 2nd term or even a 3rd cause I love it so much I want to play it longer without restarting the game so please make more presidential terms!

Y70%
by Y####:

It's a fun game but it needs more. After a 4 year term the president should be able to get re-elected, especially if they were loved by the people. It would be more fun if the game continued into the next presidency, where the new president would have to either pick up the mess from the previous president or carry on their legacy. The options are also super easy . It's pretty obvious what the people will love and what they will hate. It would be more challenging if the options weren't as obvious. It has a great initial concept it should just be developed more.

Y70%
by Y####:

This game took me less than an hour to play through. Its also annoying to have to delegate bills in the order that you approve them. Unrealistic! Fun game but it needs to have some kinks worked out and be A LOT longer lasting.

Y70%
by Y####:

This game is RACIST! There is NO option to play as a White Male. But there are PLENTY of shades of Brown. This game would be okay for a child that can read. But i wouldnt let my children play this. It would only teach them that WHITES HAVE NO PLACE IN THE GOVERNMENT! Add a pasty White guy. With blue eyes and blonde hair. Then ill consider revising my review.

D70%
by D####:

A decent idea ruined by the concept that the game creators know which bills are good and which are bad. God forbid I veto a bill to spend money on stopping Global Warming. It's one thing to say public approval would go down voting against a bill, but to lower your game score for voting incorrectly is ridiculous.

S70%
by S####:

I absolutely loved this game just, as other reviews have said, I really wish this game lasted longer.... I finished the entire game in a little over 30 minutes and was severely disappointed when I realized there was no running for a second term... Please make this game longer with at least a little bit of a campaign run and maybe being elected for another term and I'd have given it 6 stars if it were possible.

P70%
by P####:

The game is fun but too short. I wish you could do more like actually re-run as president and choose another agenda and have longer time per year. I mean every time you move you waste time and the time is short as it is..

Y70%
by Y####:

The dev team put a lot of time into this game, and they should be proud. The graphics are great, animations are great, etc. But the gameplay is a bit too easy. Your political agenda is so obvious in what to choose. Everyone's always happy with where you go. Just too easy.

Y70%
by Y####:

I am really enjoying the app. It just bothers me that everytime the term of the president ends, it's back to zero. I just want to suggest and request as well. What if add more options like what would be the government formed? Is it: parliamentary, democratic, republic or dictatorship? Then, everytime that a bill has passed into law, it should always stay like that so it won't be redundant. There should also be other types of options like 're-election or impeachment'. That would be all right now. There should also election, so its more thrilling, if I win or not.

Y70%
by Y####:

Signed an omnibus bill that made it illegal to live in areas prone to natural disasters. Dropped 3% in the polls, but recovered when the bill passed. Enjoying my 100% approval during the forced migration or detention of millions from California and the Panhandle. What a great president.

D70%
by D####:

The game was very simple and straight forward. There if definetely a bias in this game and that is why I only gave it two stars. The gameplay is very interesting, but if you are a right minded person and chose those policies it will tell you that it was the incorrect choice. So if you like to go against facts this is the game for you.

G70%
by G####:

A cute game that shows a portion of the responsibilities of a US President. My only complaints are that spending money on programs always increases your approval rating, and some political concepts are mocked instead of being considered with any amount of seriousness. Aside from those slants, it's a fun and educational game.

Y70%
by Y####:

Game is wildly unstable. Crashes every few seconds (literally). Looks promising, but no way to tell in such an unplayable state

A70%
by A####:

Played through once and chose reducing the deficit as my agenda a president. Apparently it's OK to spend all kinds of money when signing legislation since the deficit reduction was done entirely through saying the right things in capitol press confrences. Giving a thumbs down to spending money on anything is rated as bad policy at the end of the game and has no effect on the deficit at all. Unrealistic but entertaining enough. A political game should incorporate more than one ideology.

D70%
by D####:

Could be so much more challenging than it is. You only get to serve one term that end at a max 15 mins. The choices and decision arn't ones you would debate over if you're going for max points.

R70%
by R####:

Was expecting a little more. The game isnt too bad but its not serious enough. Too many stupid policies 'Hire the squrrels to build and pay them in nuts' Is one example of many.

Z70%
by Z####:

Problem with this game is that there is no space for personal political opinion. According to the game there is either a good or a bad decision. So you're basically just following the road the game wants you to take. Pretty boring

R70%
by R####:

This game is all about expanding an already overstretched government into areas it has no business entering. The bills designed are all about making government more intrusive. In reality, the only thing "good" bills do is drive up spending which is not tracked by the game. This game could be good if it were not so single-minded and focused on making a socialist state.

Y70%
by Y####:

In the beginning I thought the lack of a challenge was due to an intended learning curve. Turns out this game is way too easy all the way to the end. Policy decisions and speech options are more than obvious throughout the campaign. I guess what is missing is an opposition, a budget and tough decisions where it is not a candy or doo doo decision. I would recommend this game to children to learn about how the basics of governing the US work. Hmm... Maybe someone should put this on trumps phone ;)

Y70%
by Y####:

Extremely simple and too easy, though I assume that is because it is designed for children. Though my primary issue is that it seems to have a strong liberal bias. This coming from someone who considers himself a Progressive.

Y70%
by Y####:

It is way to easy for adults, however it is a good educational game for kids. It pushes "liberal" agenda as "popular" but still let's you veto as you see fit. Good for teaching kids the different functions of government, and how delegation works.
