100% escapable without knowing a word of Japanese. Those who lower rating because of a JAPANESE game not being in English, are like people giving your review thumbs down because you didn't write it in Farsi or whatever. Gamewise, its not very complicated. Maybe not for complete beginners, but not for seasoned players, either. So don't be a sore loser and use your brain! You can do it ;-)

It would be good if there was English so as I could understand what was going on.

Good challenging puzzles. They give you hints and answers when you get stuck, BUT you need to be able to read Japanese.
