Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage

It's a fun and creative little game with an interesting storyline. It's challenging and just as amusing as Angry Birds and Tiny Thief. Overall, it's an amazing game. I'm rating it 4 stars because I found zooming in and out and up and down a tad difficult. I believe the game would benefit by including a slider bar on the side to move the screen up and down.

I've been a nitrome fan since you guys first made roly poly, scibble, and feed me. I played the original ice breaker years ago and this version is even better. This is an awesome game, keep up the great work and thanks for all the fun games over the years!

The game doesn't treat me as though I am mentally retarded. It understands what it is and does what it does perfectly. The gameplay provides a challenge, the visuals are very nice and creative and the level design is thought through. Love the fact that the game is beatable without any microtransactions without hours of stupid grinding. Oh and by the way, check out the app's permissions...this is how an application is programmed on a mobile device people!

When this first debuted on Android and constantly crash my tablet. However since the update I have seen vast improvements. My only complaint is that with a game like this trial and error is a given so I find it annoying to advertise for in app purchases if I wanted them I'd buy them and it doesn't help there's no way to get them besides using real money like in angry birds.

The premise is simple: cut ice blocks, let physics do the rest. Dont let that fool you though - this game is devious: mostly your vikings get spiked, eaten, drowned, stuck or sacrificed to temple gods.

Some small things that would make the gaming experience much better: 1.Sometimes when I complete rescue my last viking, a chest lands on the boat, but I don't get any credit for it (probably <1 sec between the guy and the chest landing).I feel like there should be some condition where the level waits for all items on the boat to be opened before finishing.2. I would like a reset button on the level screen.Tapping the settings every time you want to reset the level is annoying. 3. Simpler scrolling. Thanks!

Its too bad because I really enjoy the music in this game. Will change to 5 stars if I can get some help here! Edit: no updates as of yet and still no music on lg nexus 5. Real shame.

Can't play on my LG G2. Update: I figured out the issue. When I try to start it from portrait mode, the game struggles and for some reason can't turn to landscape mode by itself. It will either crash outright or start up with half of the screen black. When I start it from landscape mode it seems to be fine. Good job, Nitrome.

Nitrome delivers on mobile with an updated Icebreaker. Played uninterrupted for an entire 4 hour flight. Also good for quick sessions. Few games can strike this balance.

They did a great job bringing this to Android. I like the level design and game mechanics. Also, the IAP system is perfect. It fits those pay to win people without crippling us hardcore puzzlers!

It's okay if you're Waldo in a bathtub. You may need ketchup for the donkey riders though. I enjoyed the silver monkey statues, although the hot dog decree from Uranus rustled my jimmies to the crunch.

I've played this game on a PC and the mobile ap is almost identical. My Samsung GALAXY 5 phone runs slow and freezes a lot since I installed this game. If the screen times out while I'm playing, the game doesn't start up again immediately. Too many glitches to make the game worthwhile.

Every few failed attempts at a level (about no more than 6), it will put a button notification in front of the screen to advertise their micro-transaction shop. Theres no option to disable it and its irritating. Thats not ok in a puzzle game that isn't free. 3/5 for this and inconsistant physics. There is a great game beyond these issues here though :)

I like the game play, but simple is better. Things start off fun, slicing up ice to save the Vikings. But as the game progresses the puzzles seem to have less ice slicing and more gimmicky complicated contraptions to maneuver. All of it works, just could be spread out over more levels. If you like angry birds and bad piggies give this a shot.

I finished every single level of this (great) game except Caviar. This level is impossible on both Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 6. I tried the solution now available on YouTube but the behaviour is different and the vicking always fall on the electrified surface.

Nitrome can always be counted on to deliver a quality game. This is no exception! Good puzzle gameplay, and elements such as the 'par' score, challenges, and coins that are just out of reach give good replay value. The jokes are a little cheesy, but in a so-bad-it's-good sort of way. My only complaint is with the load times; it feels like there could be some optimisation. Very good over all, though!

Easy enough just to beat a level, challenging to get par or under par. IAPs are a minor distraction. Annoying that there is neither cloud save nor data backup for apps like Carbon! Update: to copy save data to another device, copy save.xml and achievements.xml from /data/data/com.nitrome.icebreaker . You need root access and a root-compatible file browser like Total Commander.

Absolutely love this!! The game mechanic is great, and whilst not the most unique, the way it's used, the style of the graphics and the characters and setting are superb! Also love the fact you've made it paid for, and we don't NEED to buy in app purchases. We need more devs doing this!!

I was playing it one day, the next day it starts to open but as soon as it gets to the very first loading screen the app just closes. Almost a week now. Remind me again why I paid for this?

Icebreaker was one of the first flash games I ever played as a kid and the fact that this is now a full game blows my mind after how far Nitrome has gotten in the last several years.

Lots of humor and some really good levels! Totally worth your money

Meh, was OK but nothing special until the kraken campaign. That's when there were no more ice, plenty of effups and i.e. impossible to clear the Caviar level in par. Solutions aren't 1:1 in sync with other platforms either so no help there. In the end, I wish I hadn't purchased this as if that wasn't enough, I later discovered you were joined with Rovio and I really dislike their s--t.

I'm not getting any achievements despite meeting their goals! Fix please

I really loved this game when I played browser version love that they expanded it with solo many lvls well worth the money but it just started to crash back to home screen on me little after unlocking par system am running it on a smart tab spf79 low end tab but worked fine till now.

Fun game. One problem, though is the fact that the store they're constantly pestering you about doesn't even work.

I think it thinks my note 4 is a tablet. In tutorial level it tells me how to scroll but i am zoomed. Everything is just to small. Shame really i wad looking forward to playing it.
