Sometimes fate presents us with really hard trials. So heavy that it is impossible to imagine how we deserve the long dark in our life. The protagonist of this game has every right to ask, but why did he suffer such suffering.

So, the game starts somewhere in the north of Canada. The passenger plane, which leads the way to Alaska, suddenly crashes. It would seem that all the people on board are dying, and that's the end of the story. But it turns out that one of the pilots survived. Moreover, he manages to get out of the fallen plane unscathed. Initially, the pilot is happy with his incredible salvation, but then quickly realizes that his prospects are not so rosy: he is alone in the midst of the endless winter forest, around a single living soul, the area is unknown to him, wild beasts can be vigilant here, the cold wind pierces to the bones . In his backpack, there are very few provisions, and there is nothing to fire. All this means only one thing - the pilot faces a serious threat to life.


You have to act as a surviving pilot and help him resist the forces of the wild. It would seem that there is no hope of salvation, there is only a long dark ahead, which will ultimately swallow you up. But the human mind and resourcefulness have no limit, and your task is to prove it. The game is a full-fledged simulator of survival with all its characteristics. You will need to monitor the sensors that display hunger, thirst, fatigue, body temperature and other indicators of your character. You have to operate in sub-zero temperatures and snow blocks, so be careful! In order not to freeze to death, you will need to look for in the forest once the living quarters (which are there, even though the terrain seems completely unfit for habitation) in which you can warm up and restore strength. Long sit in one place will not work, because you need to constantly extract food that has an unpleasant property quickly ending. Also, you will need to master such skills as hunting and breeding fire (yes, it's not easy to get food here). The ability to handle weapons is also useful - wild animals can attack you at any time. This long dark survival, seeming endless, is not an easy task.


The essence of the game is pretty simple - to survive. You can either hold out until the help arrives (but where is the certainty that it will arrive?) Or travel in an unknown direction in the hope that eventually you will pounce on a human settlement. Both methods are extremely complex, so there is little chance of a successful outcome. But who said that there is no point in fighting for one's life? Use your smartness and stamina to the maximum, and then this long dark game will seem to you at once passable.
