A maths quiz where you have to use a calculator (to find cubic roots) or know things like the decimal equivalent of a binary number like 10101, is a little pointless to me. I want to be challenged but I want mental arithmetic and some easily applicable maths truths to get me through. I did a maths degree and I can't score more than 2! I'm also not convinced that the correct answer is always there. Surely 3(8/5) is equivalent to 24/5?
