Prince of Persia Classic

Retro, perhaps, but this game sold me and many others on gaming. An old friend, and ancestor of many modern classics. Great balance between control and gameplay, between story and action, and it grows and develops complexity in subsequent games. Looks and feels how I remember the classic game played. That's through rose-colored glasses, of course, so this has been tweaked up just the right amount . But what is Papaya, and why do I need it to play when I do not need it for Shadow & Flame? Has the Prince been hacked? Whatever. I'm gone.

I'm not sure yet, but I think I may have gotten charged by accidentally pressing the "buy for 1 life" button. If actual money is involved, this should definitely have a confirmation on it, and I would like my money back if I did get charged. The game is very enjoyable and I would give it 4 or 5 stars, but ripping people off is low and will only give it 1 unless it is fixed and I am refunded. >:-(

I have a paid for version. When I pay for content I do not expect to be advertised to. Mention an additional service once and let me skip it; that's acceptable. At the end of every level; not acceptable. More over it would make you wait several seconds before acknowledging that you pressed the skip button. Otherwise it was a fun game.

It makes me sign up for Papaya or something like that every time. EVERY TIME. I made an account and every time I sign in it takes me back to the sign in screen. Can't access the game. I don't want a refund. I'm a huge PoP fan and I'll change my rating to 5 stars if I can just freaking play it. Regardless of control scheme .

I bought the game as I love Prince of Persia but unfortunately I'm unable to play. I have contacted support and no resolution to get the game working. The 1 star goes to support for their lack of updates to my problem. I have had to chase them for a resolution but developers have provided nothing. Even though the game was cheap to buy, I now feel robbed of my purchase. Ended up getting the game working without the useless support of UBISOFT

App is called POP Classic on phone when it finally installs. auto creates a Papaya Pop classic account using your Play account username which sends you junk email. tip-edit your papaya notification settings! no way to delete this account and you get stupid messages from this account when playing if wifi or data enabled. you have to wait 20 seconds everytime you open app as it wants to verify install. These are the only reasons I give this app 1 star rating. Very disappointing. no changelog for update.

The idea John Mechner created can't really be made better by updating the textures and changing the background score. I played the game and really felt like you guys are killing a gem. You guys can at least provide the same game with those vintage DOS style textures, with the original score. May be as an ad on. People will pay more for it than this POP SOT and POP Classic mash-up.

This game doesn't work, I would like a refund. When I start the game, it goes to a white blank page with header PopClassic. The game started twice out of many times I have tried and after a bit, the white error page comes up. Super disappointed, do not waste your money!

There is no way to get past the stupid sign in page. Come guys, that's crap. Uninstalling. Don't download! My Gmail account immediately got bombarded (by Papaya?), causing my email account to lock, causing mandatory password changes. You guys suck!

Ever since I purchased this it has not worked. It loads and comes up with the home screen and before you can press anything a white pop up with an orange bar at the top takes over the whole screen with a message saying the app has stopped working. I have reported this to support three times with system logs and I'm still yet to hear anything. It's a waste of money! I have paid for something that I cannot use. I was really looking forward to playing this game as it is a classic but I can't rate it because I can't play it. Extremely disappointing.

Is ther a zero star rating??????Installed on my Galaxy S7 on April 16, 2017. Installed it and started it up. Crash immediately. Goes to some sort of orange screen called POPclassic and freezes, then crashes my phone. Tried several times same results. Also noticed my phone now has much background download activity. Not sure if the two are related but I think it's a safe bet.

The game never worked for me, gives an error, complained, they did ask me to claim compensation by registering on their website and so on... i thought i may change my Samsung Galaxy S6 and it may work... now got S7 Edge... and still doesn't work... so just lost my money for nothing... very unexpected from reputed company... but there is certainly some big... and don't have time to register on their website and write more emails as i already sent the messages twice or three times in total

I am at level 6 Tower Entrance and can't beat the monstor due to control issue. I try to block him but I keep getting hit. Any advice on what to do? The block botton does not seem to work....

Its the best game ever! If you want the game but are put off by the bad comments saying you need to buy lives to continue, the controls suck or it stops after the first level etc. you should get it. The bad comments are all lies!

What is this Papaya crap?? I do not want to sign in to anything, just play the game, unfortunately I cannot get passed the facebook or papaya screen. I am not interested in either of these so why try and force me to log in to them!

I paid for game and can not even get to the menu. After ubisoft logo i am always getting error message "POPclasic has stoped. Tried to report fault but zero responce! Great customer service!! Quick fix or Refund.

I'd give this game 0 stars if possible. The movement isn't smooth, making the game impossible to play. There's a delay between pressing controls and movement. I think pitfall on the old Atari had better play!

Seriously, i dont know why people complain about this game at all. The updated visuals are stunning, gameplay is exactly how it was in the 80's on the PC and original Gameboy. Thank you to the developers for bringing back one of the best games ever with a modern look

After anticipating the completion of download for this game, it turns out when the download files are verified, it goes the menu of the game abs just crashes. Not once, not twice, but every single time. The worst investment I've ever made

I had fun playing this. It was well made, but there were a few things I just could not let go. If I pay more than a dollar for a game, I fully expect to NEVER see advertisements; NEVER. Even the in-app purchases are pushing it for a $3 android game. Also, the hint bar that would appear throughout the whole game and block your view of the swordfight was extremely disengaging... I expected much better from Ubi. I'll think twice before buying any more of you games.

Why do I need to see ads on a paid version? Why is this game trying to sell me extra lives? Why did it automatically create an account using my Google play account and start sending me junk? I'll stick to the original version that doesn't try to squeeze my wallet everytime I die or finish a level, thanks.

When i first purchased the game the controls were so crappy i just uninstalled it. I got pop shadows and flame. Love its controls. I see there's been some updates so im reinstalling it. If its not upto par. Delete.

This classic game give me joy when i found it, but soon become a dissapointment. It doesn't work properly, always shows a blank white page with loading sign after opening title. What a waste of money and I want my money back unless it can be fix soon.

This game crashes every single time and never fully loads. I have never seen anything past title screen and this game is a waste of money. I installed it because I remember playing the original over 20yrs ago. This app has molested my innerchild.

Paid for it, downloaded it, installed it. Try to play and it does its verification and you briefly see the main menu, then it just crashes. Haven't seen what the game even looks like. Don't waste your money!!!

Wont work just goes to pop screen going to get a refund total waste of money their tech people ask to do a lot of resetting to the game but it still didn't work NO OFFER OF A REFUND

After playing a couple of levels it now crashes all the time when opening the app..prompting to sign into some odd account. I have a Samsung S3 so not a phone issue I suspect.

Back in the day I played this on a Tandy CoCoa machine. I love this game. It is perfect but would be better if I had a tablet or a bigger phone. My 4.3 screen is a little small for this game. Galaxy S IV or Note II, HTC One, etc. or any tablet would make it perfect

So, I had the same issue, as soon as you start the app, it shows you a new window and doesn't run. So what I did: open Play Google, search for the game, and once in the game page, where shows Uninstall and Open options, I press home and start the game from the app drawer. It will reach the window issue. Then I switched to the Play Google, and Open again from there. And I was playing, no issue, and finished the game. Good experience, Controls need improvement.

If game crashes on start, disable all internet on your phone and restart app, you will have to keep it this way for the entire time you play (sadly) This also avoids all pop ups in the game asking to sign in. Update needed for - #Controls, need improvement, if you can do it for 'shadow and the flame' then you can do it for POP classic too. #we don't need in app purchases, we already bought the game, keep it real, the game is a classic, don't spoil it & disable all "sign in" pop ups pleeease!!

Do NOT purchase this. Once I managed to download it, after download verification, a menu briefly appears, and then a white screen with an orange title bar on it appears. Nothing happens, it just hangs. Tried on Xperia E.

I always loved the first prince of persia game and i was glad that it was really happy when i saw that it was available for Android, unfortunately I was very disappointed on their decisions. Every time you complete a level you get this popup to sign in their service. There is no "never remind me" button or anything of that sort, you just get spammed until you give in and log into their service or you keep trying to hit the impossibly small "Skip" link.

Worked OK on my nexus 7 but will not start at all on my new nexus 9. Crashes on startup every time. I should get a refund for this.

Can't even open the game without stupid popcap game blocking it. Want a refund. Don't buy this game, unless you like paying for nothing. That's all you'll get.

Couldn't find any weapon in the game.don't know if you have to qualify to another level bf weapons will be available.then ask to pay for extra lives after u died. Controls on Sony xperia2 are not perfectly smooth.

Requires to shut down all internet connenctions before it works. If connected, this halts my device so that I need to remove the battery. The game would be nice-to-play casually, but not worth of the harm it causes to the device.

I am surprised that 900+ people gave this title 5 stars. This game is not that good. Discounting the fact it differs greatly from the original, the game prompts you to buy extra lives after you have died a number of times already. That alone should give it a 1 star immediately without further review. That aside, the game is still not a good adaptation of the original. It is 2d prerendered graphics and the layout of the game has changed immensely.

I want a refund for this. It won't even open keeps saying unfortunately popclassic has stopped. Not satisfied at all

It keep stopping I can't play ' so I uninstalled it and download it again and still the same problem can't open the game ; I paid for it twice and couldn't play it
