Scorched Combat

Love it, and I'm a hard person to impress. Will buy this. Update: (4/17) No idea what the problem is. Suddenly the app freezes all the time. I've done two complete resets of my phone software just to get this app working (because I liked it so much,) and still can't unscrew it. I'm *guessing* a bug in the "ad fetch" subroutine, which is odd because I bought a full version (which appears to have also disappeared.)

Was looking for good trajectory-based scorched earth clone. Tried them all. This one is by far the truest, and very well done. Pocket Tanks is just a Worms clone. Scorched Combat has the full earnings/purchases system in place for fun between rounds!

Never won a single round because CPU opponent goes first and hits my tank 9/10 times on opening volley. Deleted.

Best scorched earth game I've found. Some ads hijack the window, and it's impossible to move past them. Need to quit game and restart. Paid for ad removal. Fixed problem, but only after restarting campaign.

Cracking game. Reminds me of Scorched Tanks (Amiga) To the other reviewer. How is Pocket Tanks a Worms clone?? For the record, Pocket Tanks was created by the same people who brought us Scorched Tanks. Worms came out later on Amiga. Great work devs. Loved Mortar combat too.

Nice retro throw-back. Fun like it was in the early nineties. Just needs wrap-around screen and no altitude limit and we have perfection : )

I loved Scorched Tanks on the Amiga back in the 90's. This is the closest thing I've been able to find.

Ran out of ammo on single player level 45, and it crashed the game.

The ads were so freaking brutal I couldn't play it.

Original issue corrected itself after a few days. Thank you for your reply. I do wish it had some more weapons or environmental hazards, tracer rounds would be cool. That might make it too close to the original but would be really cool. Keep at it, great app now that the ads are gone.

Great game! It's every bit as fun of the old DOS game. Everyone in my family enjoys playing each other via wifi and challenging other people online. Thanks for the recent update, the changes improved the play and the new weapons are fun. The "Punisher" and the "Roller MIRV" are my favorites. If you are taking input for future updates, I think the following would be good additions to the game: Include different border conditions such as wrap-around, spring, or rubber Include variable wind (this makes for a much more challenging game!) Include napalm (it was one of my favorites from the DOS game) Keep up the good work!

Reminds me of Scorched Earth. Well done. Only thing I don't like is the background graphic...the crazy Christmas tree makes it difficult to locate the NME

Great job reworking a classic. LAN battles are fun with coworkers (shh...don't tell the boss). Only question, is single player broken? It won't load past level 9.

What is the difference between this and mortar combat?

The dirt bombs do not work correctly. It's supposed to stack dirt on top of the tank, not push the tank to the top of the pile. The weapons purchase needs some refining. The "not enough money" pop up is annoying, a simple ding or buzzer would suffice. Changing weapons is a pain, as the list is too compact, it takes multiple tries to select the weapon of choice. Also, need to be able to turn off the reflecting boundaries. A paid version to eliminate the tacky ads would be nice as well.

Used to waste a bunch of time playing this year's ago. Wish the controls for angle and power were easier to use but still fun

Played something similar when I was younger on a computer maybe 20 years ago. Still love it. Wish you could set the number of rounds higher.

Exactly what I wanted when I searched for an old school artillery game. Some of the weapons are over the top, maybe.

I only wish others would download it so there were more online matches

I love it! I use to play scorched earth for hours back in the day and this game is the closest that I have ever seen. I would give you 10 stars if I could!

I had forgotten how much fun a simple game like this can be! And the wifi Lan ability is great

Great game, if you miss playing scorched earth on your msdos driven pc.

The pop up to rate the app was really annoying, it popped up everytime you reach the main menu. Also if you turn off the screen and then bring it back the graphics are all messed up. Also as of lot if I select 1 bot it gives me 2 and if I select 2 it gives 3.

Add lava like from the old game Scorched Earth, keep it up ☺

Holy crap, I have been missing this game for some time. Needs a little improvement, but it's got me totally addicted.

Well designed. Easy mechanics. Currently no complaints
