About Maps to Muzei
An extension for Roman Nurik's Muzei which creates a wallpaper based on the map of your current location.
The app is FOSS, released under the Apache 2.0 license. You can found the sources at https://github.com/danybony/MapsMuzei
Features:
- Several map themes
- Different zoom levels
- Custom update times
- Optionally download maps only over Wi-Fi
If the extension is not able to retrieve the current position, it will center the map in a random place chosen from a set of famous places from all around the world.
You must have Muzei installed to use this extension.
To use it:
• Install Muzei from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.nurik.roman.muzei
• Open Muzei app
• Select "Maps for Muzei" as your source
• Enjoy the new wallpaper based on the map of your current location!

But customization is not a part of this app. I don't want to look at my own location all the time, why is there no option to mix it up a bit? My location services are always on and I don't intend to turn them off just for one Muzei plugin.

When this extension works, it's amazing. However, most of the time it doesn't. It constantly crashes, and it isn't well supported by the developer. I'd pay a couple of quid for a stable version, but with so few updates, I can't see that happening.

Would it be possible to disable text on the maps? It's really distracting.
