One day after HTC’s self-imposed deadline for the release, the Android 4.4.2 update for the HTC One is released to Sprint users in the US. The OTA update brings NFC Tap & Pay, cloud printing and Bluetooth profiles. HTC Sense is also updated to 5.5 with an updated BlinkFeed.

HTC One users in Canada are getting the Android 4.4 upgrade. The OTA update available for Rogers, Bell, Virgin, TELUS, SaskTel and WIND brings NFC Tap & Pay, cloud printing and Bluetooth profiles.

If you are not a fan of HTC Sense 5 UI and you wish to have the stock Android 4.4 user experience on your Non-Google Play HTC One you can still install the Android 4.4 KitKat Google Play Edition ROM on your device.

The HTC One - Google Play Edition Android 4.4 KitKat firmware update just started to roll out. It is available as over the air update or if you can not get it automatically, the download link is included in the post.

Good news for all HTC One owners. Just a few hours after official release of Android 4.4 KitKat, HTC promised that all US models of the HTC One will receive the latest version of Android within three months.
