CetusPlay,Android TV Remote

Edit: the issue I was having below was dealt by simply finding icon that switches remotes to the mouse and it works pretty well! Ive upgraded my review from a 3-5 because of that and because they seem to have good customer service. Advertised the ability to use a mouse for the firestick but that is not the case yet. Only buttons work with no ability to have a mouse pointer. Everything else works fine but is a tiny bit more laggy than actual firestick remote as to be expected.

Modern sleek and professional looking design. With more features than just a remote control. Missing two things though, To have scroll bars (vertical and horizontal) in the mouse mode. And the keyboard doesn't work with my android tv box, I keep pushing send with nothing happening.

Hi. This is by far the best free remote cursor I've found for my obscure HyppTV Huawei box. One of the issues is I can't scroll down when using the mouse. Also, the keyboard input on the app does not transfer to the TV. It would also be nice if the touchpad mirrors the screen on the TV to my phone, so I can see what I'm tapping on.

The only reason I downloaded this app is so that way I didn't have to use my Bluetooth mouse with my fire stick seeing how this says it has mouse capabilities. Well it does but the mouse doesn't click just mimics a mouse on screen with no clicks or anything. Other than that the app works great with all the other modes

This app is the best remote app for the fire TV. But I have one major issue, the best feature (in my opinion) doesn't work. The mouse function is broken. It doesn't click even with ADB debbuging on. Other than that, it's a great app and I love to use it!

Amazing. It's exactly what i was after - you can easily switch between touchpad, mouse and dpad. Only thing is i cant figure out how to type, if there's a keyboard I can't get it to appear. As soon as i can do this i will gladly give 5 stars.

A free answer to a lot of expensive amazon fire stick problems. The mouse is a great feature that certainly saves a few quid. Sideloader will push apps like terrarium TV to your fire stick without es Explorer hassle and paths. From an Xperia Z5 compact works fine. Great job guys

Only worked as a remote after update (would not install apps to fire stick; Cetus play TV could not install to device). Attempted all given instructions and workarounds, to no avail. Solution I found to work: - install Cetus play TV to my phone. - installed app from store; apps2fire - installed Cetus play TV to fire stick using apps2fire. - reconnected with Cetus play. Now the app is working as it should.

Fire TV Stick with Alexa and Samsung S7 mini. The interface is very clean and the functionality of touch pad, mouse, etc are great. The side load function is easy and the launxh function is convenient. However, does not work with side loaded XFinity TV app. Please make it work! Cheers. Highly recommend.

Third remote app I've tried for Nexus player. And third one that didn't work. I will pay for a simple remote that just works. Please someone make one. Where do I go to pair with pin. Isn't this done through my Bluetooth settings and not the app?

Loved it at first but since switching my TV off its broken the auto audio link between my TV and amp. Audio works fine if I switch it to TV speakers only but stops transmitting sound to my surround amp. Seriously p***ed off. Everything else works fine such as games console audio...only TV sound via HDMI to the amp effected. I have Philips TV so tried switching sound setting between on and easylink for HDMI auto switching. Grrrr. TV only couple of months old. Gggrr

I'm in love. Side load apps plus remote control?! Yes, please! Great when I'm too lazy to search for the remote or not take ten days entering my email. Only one problem related to Amazon fire. Second time I open the app without fully closing it, the remote doesn't work

Was working for Fire TV with Note 4 before update. Now, can't select with mouse. I see the cursor/pointer but tapping the screen does nothing. Was great, now no value.

I have a smart TV and a firestick. When I connected it to my internet it connected to the TV then to the firestick, but the only button on the remote that works is the home button. Confused!

It is the best so far. Good work! The only thing that needs improvement is the keyboard. Keep doing amazing things..and No ads.. Thanks allot

I need the ability to manually enter the IP address to add the device. Otherwise it's a useless app to me.

After the update the mouse stopped working. Is it possible to get back the old version cuz I really need the mouse. Other than that it's a great app

This is one of the greatest finds ever. The ability to side load your Amazon Fire Stick makes the decision to cord cut so easy and justified. Live TV ever where. VPN another included option. Be patient with the mouse mode on the remote. Love this app!

I really like being able to side load from my phone to my fire stick. The keyboard mode didn't work for me. Also do you need phone permissions?

It works and has very good options for any Android or fire tv setup. I especially like being able to launch installed apps from my tablet. It just asks for a lot of permissions. Edit: Everything works without root but it still asks for root access

Great app only problem I'm having is kodi does not show in my apps and the verson that is on cetusplay is kodi 17.0 which should be 17.1. Glad to get a response and to see that kodi has had the version update class work keep it up guys

It is a great app but suddenly keeps shutting down and app centre for sideloading has disappeared again.. tried on different devices and it's the same.

I would change my review to a 5 only if you can fix the mouse option... it is the only thing I can't get to work. Eveything else works great except when you change to mouse toggle option in top right hand corner the arrow curser shows up on the screen and moves to where you position it, but as soon as you click on it nothing happens... this was the main reason why I downloaded this app for the mouse feature... my ABD debugging is turn ON in every device so that is NOT the problem... please fix this issue and I will change my rating to a 5 thankyou...

It will see my Nvidia Shield 2015 but my newest 2016 model it cannot see. Im asduming it is not supported

This is more of a suggestion: Give option to cast directly from official YouTube app. This can be done if CetusPlay mobile app starts accepting link share from official YouTube app. So once we click share link from official YouTube app on mobile there would be an icon that would say Cast on CetusPlay and then it plays on tv box. Same should be available for local files as well. Share and cast. Scrolling control in mouse is also must, as in "RemoteIME" app. Voice Search feature would be great in addition to above all. Overall CetusPlay is an amazing app. Rating: *****

It was a great app until the app center disappeared. Now I can no longer stream the programs to my stick. It suddenly said it's not working. What a bummer because I loved this app

EDIT: Nevermind apparently the solution was to reboot my Android Box then the Mouse Started Working. Great APP

Using with Mi Box was full of issues Mouse mode just mimic the pointer and of no use even after enabling USB debugging issue was present, otherwise its a nice app and I would have given 5stars to this

It keeps on freezing on me to were it stops working until i close it and reopen it till the next time it freezes. I'm using it on a LG V20

*update* changing the keyboard input back to CetusPlay, reboot android TV and it works again. Update killed the app. Just updated both the remote app and the one for Android TV. The only button that is working is the HOME button, nothing else. Please revert the update

Even though I connected with the tv and I installed the app on tv, when I try to install an app from cetus it just shows me that I have to install it on tv first(wich I have) and doesn't install any app

Does not work as advertised. Example: when in Mouse Mode you see it scrolling around, however you can not tap to enter/ok. Touchpad Mode does nothing. And now the Dpad Mode does nothing. Why does it load CetusPlay,Mouse/C twice on your phone? I've turned on and off then on again on the debugging. Please fix this app.

Does not work with android box wetek play 2. Which is a HUGE disappointment as this is the best android remote. Please please please fix.

I can't get it to work. It shows the device but won't install it on the fire stick. Debugging and everything else on. Onto the same wifi signal. It just won't install to the fire stick. Keeps failing

This app was awesome at first till the update. Now it sucks. Yes I'm using the app for the firestick on tv. And no the mouse does not let you select. I've already emailed all the info just waiting on y'all to fix it.

[SOLVED] Keyboard input not working for me. Everything else working. HTV box 3 Android TV box. It works now after choosing the CetusPlay input as default input.

Just install it but it's telling me when i tried to sideload a app to the firestick fail to install try again later? Does cetusplay need a upgrade?

Used it just as a remote until I found out what else it does. Brilliant.
