My phone won't recognize my note 3 as a usb device so couldn't load any media. This was a great alternative. Really easy to use and fast transfers. Had to get the paid version because the free one only lets you transfer files below a certain size. Great app.

My phone's internal charging port has a shortage in it, so whenever I try to charge or connect my phone to a computer it's nearly impossible to transfer my files (or charge it for that matter). I bought a Windows phone as a temporary replacement, and this app has allowed me to transfer my files with ease (since this is easier than syncing everything with this particular phone). Thank you very much!

Solved ALL my file transfer problems… do yourself a favor if you have a Wi-Fi connection at home : FORGET BLUETOOTH and use this exclusively. Top marks… v. well done. Can ya tell I liked this? ????

And for what I need to do; this is perfect. Instead of micromanaging changes in files on pc and android or using the computer keyboard to type onto the android, I ran across this app, which just allows me to make the changes on the computer and upload them directly to the applicable folder on the Device. Lovely.

I use this on a daily basis and it is soooo fast. The interface is simple and clean and most importantly it "works every time". I can write to my SD Card, Internal memory, everything. Oh and if you have a wife or relative that's not so tech savvy, put this on their phone, it will save your life. Now I can transfer from device to device in a flash! USB who needs it. ;-) My only comment to the developer is, when you get a chance maybe give the interface a more professional touch, but for now - it works a treat! Thanks very much.

and you can even delete contents from the device remotely. When viewing your device from a PC using web browser the UI is actually quite good and uploading files is fast and easy. You could create new folders. The app itself is very simple, it actually does nothing except the obvious start/stop function, and a settings menu for things like password which is optional. I love that the app is a very small download, has few permissions, and has a plain but mature appearance. And it's free!

I am a Youtuber and in addition to my normal camera and my gopro sometimes find myself relying on my phones camera to get footage I need for my videos. Other times I use a screen capture app to get phone screen footage for app reviews or what have you. Wifi File Transfer is by far the easiest way to get the resulting videos/photos off of my phone and onto my PC so I can edit them into my projects. Definitely a great app that has served me well.

Great App. Not only for transfering files to and fro the PC but also to modify or rename files or move them within the mobile its easier to do it on a PC with keyboard and mouse. Photoshopping from the PC has more options than the android photoeditor apps. I am able to read and write to the internal as well as external SD Cards. Really useful, small app with simple interface. One of the most valued of all the apps I have downloaded.

Consider this situation: Your smart phone is online within a WLan and you are sitting at a regular computer within the same WLan and want a simple transfer of some files between both devices. Then WiFi file transfer is for you. On the android device: Just click the friendly start button within the app and it will prompt you with a local URL which you can enter within your browser on the PC. And presto! There is file access. I like it and can think of nothing bad about it. Hence 5 Stars.

This undoubtedly is a great app. There are niches that could be better. 1. The web interface could be improved, there is no need to give optional themes. 2. Disabling of social buttons not working. 3. Rename, copy, delete in sd card itself are not needed. 4. Viewing of videos nd music streaming on clicking the multimedia file can give a perfection to the app, aside the upload/download option. P.S such a great app I would like to upgrade to the paid version, definately worth buying.

So far so good. Start the app, you get an IP address, type it into your web browser and you can see the contents of your tablet. Works like an ftp site. I had a few zipped backup files that were about 300mb each, but when copied over through explorer they kept appearing as Okb, and when transferring with Astro it kept crashing 2/3 of the way through. This copied over everything fast and without issue.

Finally an app that does more than stated rather than doing nothing at all. Small footprint, excellent functionality, easy to use, and straight to the point. Downloaded it and within 30 seconds I was streaming the 2:30hr HD edition of Fight Club. It played all the way through with no buffering, lag, or degradation of quality. A+ good sir.

My computer tech son introduced me to this fab app. My first ever app for my first smart phone. Let me say as a relative newbe to smart phones this app made me get more confident and explore the endless possibilities of my phone. This app enables me to transfer via an internet network, photos and videos I have taken on my phone without having to use cables to my computer. For all those who say yeah I know so what . This was a revelation. It was magic and so efficient and fast. I can also group my photos into a zip file and download them to my computer. But here is the brilliant thing. I can do this to other computers because it is over the network and doesn't require drivers for the device. Totally simple and user friendly. Have a try if I can do it so can you.

Funny thing - I couldn't get Samsungs Kies 3.0 software to work. The PC couldn't see the phone. Downloaded and installed WiFi File Transfer and two minutes later everything I wanted was downloaded. All this for FREE too! Nice job!

Really nice way to transfer files. I'm a high school student and I badly need stuff to be transfered around all my gadgets, laptop tabs and phone. This app works just all well. Just need some slight more features like: when moving files, we still need to input the directory manually, etc. But a great app indeed overall.

Nice app, but I am on Lollipop 5.0. I guess it is like all these other products that cannot write to the external SD card. I guess there are some new rules and restrictions in Lollipop 5.0 that prevents an app from just writing to the SD card unless they use certain API's. But for those non-Lollipop users, you will like the product.

I tried out (or tried to try) a similar app that required account registration and many other hoops to jump through. Their servers were down, so everything failed. Why on earth should sending data to my phone depend on their servers?? Then I tried WiFi File Transfer. It was ridiculously simple to use, and worked perfectly.

Fast, easy transfers to my Mac from my Nexus 5. Eliminates need to attach via USB to download photos, videos, etc. Much, much faster than using bluetooth. Works with Chrome and Firefox. Unable to make secure connection using Safari. Suggestion: When SSL is enabled, disable the non-secure connection. Will help prevent accidentally using non-secure connection on a public network.

I have liked this app in the past for downloading a picture or two. Haven't done all that much with it other than maybe a total of a dozen pictures. This time I had some real data to transfer and was told the size was too big. Smallest (43MB) file was too big to use without a spend. I'm not thinking that for the amount I use this app it is worth a spend. Will have to think about it.

One annoying bug is the 'embedded uploader' message that is presented on any page refresh regardless of Adblock settings. Been seeing this through couple of updates, I think. However, that is not enough to pull the rating down from 5 stars to anything less than 4 stars. Good, fast, efficient app that makes file management on the [Nook HD+] very easy. Thank you folks! ############### Update to review: Annoying bug was (gasp!) Chrome based. Moving to latest Firefox eliminated the bug, & managing files is fast, easy & problem free now.

Thanks to this application, I can transfer files wirelessly. But due to the maximum limit of the size it can upload, it's a mere letdown to some people. I very much understand how you'd want to earn money with this app and I say it's reasonable. If you can increase the limit to 10MB-13MB, that would be better. (Y)

very nice app, No hassle at all just tap and u r good to go, downloading a whole folder is very a good feature unlike other apps which dont allow u to download a folder.overall very nice app give five stars to this app. but i have a query why it is unable to delete large files and how to send data from pc to phone

Works without any problems. It's equally handy either as a computer-browser-based file explorer for your phone, or as a way to wirelessly transfer files between your phone and computer. I spend the whopping $1.60 for the pro version, not because I very often need to transfer files larger than 5MB, but because it works so well.

I love this app! Makes having this crappy phone bearable since Samsung's Kies Air won't work for me! I have downloaded files to my computer & my tablet from my phone & it is just awesome! Wish the apps that are forced on us all when we purchase these phones were as useful as this one. THANKS!!

The screen gets locked at the top of the page. So when selecting multiple files I can only go as far down as the size of my screen. Scrolling down works for a fraction of a second and then it forces itself back to the top of the screen not allowing me to keep selecting more files down at the bottom of the list.

I rooted & Loaded a different rom on my s2 so I needed to find a good app to retrieve my files. Wifi File transfer has been doing very good. Simple to use & don't have to constantly enter a code like some of the other apps. Worst part of any app is the slow transfer speeds.

R70%

It actually worked. Been skeptical for a while about the wifi file transfer since none havent worked. My bluetooth driver quit on my pc for unknown reasons and so had to find alternative other than usb. Dont understand why people complain about the dev trying to make a buck. Rediculous spoiled children.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and tried several times unsuccessfully to transfer a 438 kb PDF file from my computer using Google Chrome to the external SD card and it failed every time. The interface looks great. I thought about upgrading to the PRO version, but since the free version does not work, maybe the PRO would not work either and that would be a waste of money.

Full access to your phone's SD card and internal storage, not just your camera folder. Nice interface via any web browser on your PC. I use it to download my pics and vids through wifi, because the phone's battery charges better and lasts longer with a dedicated wall charger, than the pc-to-phone cable. My only gripe is wifi transfer speed isn't as fast as through the cable on my Galaxy S2 - maybe a newer phone does better WiFi speeds?

I have found that some galaxy phones loose the ability to connect to the computer via USB to transfer files. It will charge but not transfer. With WiFi Transfer all the troubleshooting issues disappeared and made transferring my images a breeze. I would recommend this app to anyone who does a lot of transferring between device and computer.

The perfect blend of an intuitive interface and quick reliable upload to my Android device. It even helps you organize your stuff from the comfort (and big screen) of your computer. You guys got this one right!

Excellent help. I was no longer able to transfer files over thecable, so this made it possible again. Only caveat: if transferring a lot of files (ie pictures) download the zip file and not the individual files, as otherwise it may stop transferring half way through.

This app has a lot of potential. It is fast and intuitive to use, unfortunately only some of its functions work on my Mlais M52. File download works fine, but non of the delete functions work. I will keep my eyes open for an update, but perhaps the problem is something peculiar to my mobile phone?

The first time I used it I was impressed. Now when I try to use it it only shows one picture! I took about 15 pictures today and it only show one in WiFi Transfer, my phone still shows all 15 but only 1 shows up in the app so it is useless, wtf? I was considering upgrading but not now!

I use this all the time to transfer pictures off my phone. It shows them all in a website, gives you thumbnails and allows you to download them individually or as a zip archive. Only limitation for the free version is upload 5MB max files, but that's it.

Worked first time, very easy to use. Second time had problems but not with the app, turned out to be a problem accessing the IP address, so a tip here wait a few hours if you also have a problem, it may not be the app or your PC!

I use it for transferring my books to my Android for reading. It also makes managing the files on the Android so easy. The reason it got a 4 was I have to use the old uploader. The multi-file uploader doesn't seem to work for me. It does nothing but sits there and doesn't respond. As soon as I switch to old uploader, the files are uploaded in a snap. I wish my DSL was that fast. So it really doesn't matter I can't upload mass quantities of files at one time. Old uploader gets the job done.

by R####:

This does what bluetooth should but can't because of Mac and Android compatibility issues. Works insanely well and super fast. However, I can't help but wonder if it leaves both your phone and computer wide open to the app creators to also help themselves to your data.

I have tried several apps in attempt to clean my HTC One X+ 45GB collection of photos and videos. It functions better even than the software provided by HTC for synchronization of media! One request, can you make the navigation menu floating? Thanks for this fantastic product, would be more than happy to pay for a pro version.

I don't often write a review but this one deserves the time taken. This App does what it says on the tin! No fuss - no hassle its works very smoothly. Is that right ? 1 euro for the pro version .. a very good deal I would say !
